The most important thing you do in all your paintings is, that you create a color harmonic by limiting your palette to a handful of colors and you are mixing everything. That makes the colors vibrant and the dark areas colorful. That is why you get away with the strong contrasts withou the picture breaking up in different areas.

It’s amazing how the whites look so white agains the shaddows and leaving white paper in the right places is definitely the key to a good painting! Lovely work as always nitin 😊👍

For really small white spots I use white Gouache - I know some ppl hate that, but William Turner did and if it was okay for him, it’s also okay for me 😁
