Peter is searching for his long-lost sister, and when he crosses paths with a fortune teller in the market square there is only one question on his mind: is his sister still alive? A really beautiful film. I'm a grown woman of 59 and I watched it all on my own and LOVED it. It's gentle, intelligent, compassionate, fun and adventurous. At last no violence and no meaness- not really. Just the birth of magic. We all need that, don't we?

I remember this book! My favourite part was the plot was divided into smaller stories about each character that overlapped to create the happy ending. I hope to see it animated!

Oh yeah, speaking of nasals, there was one thing about this trailer that wasn’t amazing (unless it’s by how bad/disgusting (literally) it is), the joke at the end when mucus came out of the titular elephant’s nose (and it was on the nose. Pun partially intended, but seriously.) Everything else about TME made it look promising (my prediction when it comes to the best animated feature of an anticipating year like this one so far is The Super Mario Bros. Movie, but I think this’ll rock too!)

I hope the song “light & night” by tallyhall ( that they wrote inspired by this book and was included as a downloadable mp3 with purchase of the original book back when it was first released) is included in the soundtrack, its such a good song.

ages ago a saw a short movie where the lil boy was in a wheelchair but the lil classmate girl took care of him and played with him always. the main characters face and idk maybe the whole style reminds me to that short movie and im absolutely loving it

Doctor Strange: So, Wong. What did you do while you were out, and I was trying to stop a crazy little Peter Parker from breaking the Multiverse? Wong: Well, you see, I went back in time to the 1900s, got a job as well, another magician, made an elephant come out of thin air, and made him help a young boy find his lost sister. Doctor Strange: HUH. (Made this because Benedict Wong, who plays Wong himself, voices the titular Magician here.)
