You know I do kinda like that they don't fall into the "why dont they tell eachother anything" trope and the information isn't being used immediately for other reasons and clever characterisation, but GOD the second hand embarrassment from the bonzo bit I think I'm going to cease to exist on the spot

Tim Fearon is KILLING IT as Augustus. His voice is so spooky I am OBSESSED

Right, time to dissect this episode (Pun intended). First off, Teddy is acting a little odd: he doesn't recognise Alice, he lies about having savings, going for a drink with Alice and texting her back. He seems to be telling the truth about not recognising Alice which makes me think something might be happening to her instead o Teddy (not sure what). His lies actually all make sense if he's unemployed with no savings: he can't go out for drinks if he's broke and he doesn't want to keep Alice updated if it means revealing his situation. Next, Lena and Sam have a "conversation" if you can call it that. Lena's comment about Jack makes me wonder if she's just weird or knows something about Celia and her kid that we don't. The Case seems to be a combo of End and Lonely. The pathologist is feeling a bit of End fear since he witnessed a talking corpse. The corpse's statement is definitely Lonely, with maybe a hint of Spiral mixed in (the doors, corridors and losing touch with reality are very Spiral). This Case and the drowned lady Alice met might also be victims of an Eye avatar/monster. The Eye loves feeding on second hand fear so it forcing the corpse of another Fear's victim to make their own statement isn't too big a stretch. The conversation between Alice and Sam really highlights the difference between them. Sam is VERY heavily leaning into The Eye without even knowing it while Alice just wants to bury her head in the sand. The part with Gwen made me want to wring Sam's neck though, we got so close to everyone being on the same page! Also I have a nasty feeling Mr Bonzo somehow knows Sam laughed at him and is gonna get a bit of revenge. Lastly, OMG Georgie "I survived the apocalypse and accidentally started a cult" Barker! So she's Celia's babysitter, wonder if they were already friends or if Celia specifically hired Georgie due to their connection in the previous world. I really don't like the "who keeps taking Georgie's face?" line, makes me scared she's gonna get it peeled off by a mannequin or something. I think its also worth noting that even though this isn't the Georgie we know, its odd that she's worried about Celia spying on her: an Eye related fear. Hopefully we'll learn more about what's up with Celia and why she keeps waking up in random places, and maybe Sam will apologise to Gwen and she'll get him up to speed on the Externals.

guys i think maybe sam didn't actually intend to mock gwen? i think it was the mr. bonzo effect i SWEAR because in episode 12 when mr bonzo shows up to that stag party all of the guys there are losing their minds laughing while the poor person working there was unaffected and i think THE SAME THING JUST HAPPENED TO SAM IN THIS EPISODE!!! the way sam was saying the bonzo stuff and laughing felt off !!

sam telling lena the name of celia's kid does NOT...bode well...given some of her earlier fae theming other people caught in previous episodes like insisting new hires eat the food she gives them. the fact that the dialogue points specifically to jack's name being revealed to lena is Worrying. to say the least.

Sounds like "mother" might be a distortion survivor. I know this is a different world, and the powers are different, but my mind still made the connection

I keep assigning Entities to the cases even though I know it is not that easy here, I just can't help myself and it's kind of fun, so I am always subconsciously searching for connections. But the whole "too many doors" and "turning passageways to confuse you" so "you might never find your way out again" is insane to me. Especially with the fact that the daffodils bring yellow to that concept. Also, I don't think it was intended that way, but the "some figure, reaching, asking questions in an alley" immediately made my mind go "like.. like an anglerfish?"

We got a Georgie! Whether or not it’s TMAs Georgie or TMPs is unknown, but it’s sounding like she’s from TMPs universe. Should be fun to see where this goes.

Every episode we get closer to Alice’s bottled up emotions and fears exploding, and I am SO ready for when that happens. If it’s anything like Tim’s crisis, it’s going to be GOOD.

YOOOO!! An Augustus narrated case!

**DEEP BREATH** Y’ALL?! I AM _SO_ NORMAL ABOUT THIS EPISODE!!! (No, I’m not.) 😀 Okay! _LOTS_ to break down here! Let’s get into it!!!! 👁️👁️ 1. Teddy! Great to hear he’s still alive and well! Still having trouble finding a job though… I swear the OIAR doesn’t _actually_ let people quit. It just lets them _think_ they can. Then they either are eventually forced to come back - but maybe in another department, so as to not raise suspicion - or some other misfortune befalls them. Considering we last heard from Teddy in episode 9, which took place on March 8th, and this episode takes place on April 10th, just over a month later, I definitely think something is sabotaging his attempts to get another job. 😥
 2. Lena is just as odd and off-putting as always, I see. Poor Sam. lol 😅 
I swear she’s an avatar of some sort herself. She seems somewhat normal, if super strict and aloof, when talking to Gwen 1-on-1; but any interaction with her and any other character always feels super weird. Like, maybe she’s just really socially awkward or something, but I’m keeping my eye on her… 
 3. Talking about Celia’s baby, Jack, Lena says “Oh, is that *its* name?” See what I mean?! She says things weirdly! However, this may point towards my theory that Jack is somehow not just a normal baby, and Lena knows something that we don’t. I know later in the episode that we hear Jack, and he sounds like a regular baby, but I’m still not 100% convinced…
 4. Augustus is back!!! Great to hear you again, old man! (Another _fantastic_ performance by Tim Fearon! Like damn! I got genuine chills at parts! 😁)
 5. HOLY CRAP THIS STATEMENT THOUGH!!! I _LOVED_ IT!!!! It was like a statement within a statement, which was super cool! There was the medical examiner’s statement about the talking corpse, and then there was the statement of the corpse herself! 
 6. The initial descriptions of “the house on Church Street” that Violet’s mother warned her about is _very_ interesting, as it sounds like her mom was really covering all of the Fear bases, in order to warn her children off of going inside. (Spiders, rotten wood to fall through, so many rusty nails, too many rooms and turning passageways that would confuse you, so many locked doors, and the threat of being lost, forsaken, and left alone to fend for oneself. Of Smirke’s 14, I count at least 6 solidly covered there, and an argument could be made for even a few more.)
 7. The line in Violet’s statement “Someone has brought me here, but who? Some figure reaching, asking questions in an alley?” _HMMMM?!!!_ Sounds like an Archivist’s work to me! 
 8. My guess, at the moment, is that these statement-giving corpses have something to do with the thing that Alice and Sam set loose from the basement of the Institute in episode 10. That thing was possibly the Archivist of this universe’s Institute, and back when the building burnt down, the Archivist got stuck in the basement, somehow. But, being an Archivist, it couldn’t simply die, so it’s just been down there all these years, starving with no statements to read or take, and waiting to be set free again. Now that it’s free, it seems to be feeding by killing people, trapping them in their worst fears until they die, and then even the corpses continue to recite their statements, even after their deaths. It’s almost like each victim is getting trapped in their own personal Fear Domain, like from the Eyepocalypse, except it’s only effecting them, and they can actually die. 😬
 9. I appreciate Sam bringing Alice’s attention to another instance of a talking corpse, trying to give her more information/context about what she might have encountered, but I also 100% understand Alice’s point of view. She is not _at all_ Eye aligned, and she absolutely does not want to be. She doesn’t want to go down that rabbit hole. She’s been working at the OIAR long enough to have witnessed how that route can mess with people’s mental health, and she doesn’t want that to happen to herself. Unless there’s something concrete and actionable for her to know, in order to keep herself or her friends safe, she doesn’t want to hear it. 
Honestly, fair. We’ve seen how that kind of paranoia and _need to know_ consumed people in TMA, so it’s genuinely kind of refreshing for Alice to _not at all_ be compelled to know more. I doubt that will work out for her, long term, but I salute her efforts to stay as normal as possible. 😅
 10. GODDAMN IT, SAM!!!! Gwen was at a breaking point, and she was _finally_ opening up to y’all, and you _laugh in her face?!!!_ Like, I’m glad he noticed that she seemed genuinely upset afterwards, but still, _goddam it, Sam!!!_ He better apologize to her and actually allow her to talk, next time! 
Also, Sam, you finally had the chance to actually confirm that all the monsters and supernatural stuff you read about is _real,_ and you didn’t even let Gwen finish! She could have given you some great insight, and you blew it, dude!!!! Just… GAH!!!! 
(Like yes, if someone tried to tell me that, say, Chuck E Cheese was an actual scary monster of some kind, I might think they’re joking at first, too. But if I was working _this job,_ I would at the very least hear them out fully, before laughing, _just in case they’re not actually joking!)_

This Georgie is most likely the one from this universe, not the Georgie from TMA, as she seems happy and normal and doesn’t seem to know about any of the supernatural stuff that’s been happening to Celia. I think it’s nice that this Georgie is still a podcaster, though. It was just meant to be, I guess. lol 
I wonder if this Georgie is still able to experience fear? Or if she knows the Melanie from this world? I want to know how similar her life has been to the Georgie we know from TMA!
 12. I’m genuinely glad that Celia has Georgie for support, as a friend and neighbor, while Celia is dealing with her weird sleep teleportation craziness. She at least has someone reliable she can call to look after her kid for her, when she randomly wakes up and finds herself over an hour away from home, in a field or on some train tracks. And, while Georgie will ask some questions, she won’t pry unnecessarily.
 13. We have a new listening device! This time, whatever is listening/recording all this hacked into Jack’s baby monitor! What _can’t_ this thing listen through?! It tends to use the usual phones and cameras, most of the time, but I try to keep an eye out for anything unusual that it might use for surveillance. It’s always in the back of my mind, what or who is behind the recordings in this one?!

I’ve got so many theories on Magnus’s personality based on the cases he reads and I’m so excited about the implications of him being scared too

It should be noted that I did the chores and house work that I put off ( the curruption ain’t getting me anytime soon ) to allow myself to listen to this when it came out

Half way through the corpses words I started crying, just tears running down my face as I listened in horror to the words as I sat in silence. 10/10 would recommend this podcast to anyone

Seems like the body from the statement hitched a ride through hilltop road. “Full of spiders,” lots of different doors (universes). Even Jon and Martin made it through as programs. My only question is did they all go through at once, or is the doorway still open somehow? I would assume it’s the former considering the condition of the bodies. They were only sustained by the fears during the apocalypse so being sucked directly into a “normal” world would probably leave them a little hungry.

If anything happens to Alice, I will absolutely riot.
