The meaning of the direction of the West meant in the hadith is ambiguous and allegorical. You have interpreted according to Abdullah Hashem's desires. If we look at the history of the hadith about the descent of Prophet Isa who will pray behind Imam Mahdi, then the west direction which is described as the place where the sun rises is referring to the territory of Palestine in which there is the Al Aqsa Mosque.

Sunni Islam believes that the Mahdi will come from Khorasan, that is today Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Iran. We believe he is going to be an irani person (farsi, persian), not an arab!

O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful. According to which narration is the mahdi coming from Iran brother.? Aba sadiq came with the will of prophet mohammed where his name Abdullah is clearly mentioned. Nobody has ever claimed this apart from aba sadiq. Please check out his website for further proofs and prophecies fulfilled by him.
