You'll be happy with the hydraulic chute rotator after having done it this way, front attachment setup isn't easy unless you've done it a lot

I have an M5 and 3/4 mile driveway after 5 years I found the best thing is a 12' tow behind wheeled scraper. It doesn't gouge the road and mess up the gravel. The snow builds up to form a wedge that pushes the snow off to the sides like a v plow. I also use a 3 point 7' rake to groom the gravel.

That’s is one attachment you definitely need there. Much quicker than shovelling 😁

You did a great job for the first time mounting that blower. I know it must be very frustrating missing parts, but soon that will be a memory and you'll be all set up in the future! Once you mount it twice, you'll get it on and off in 20 minutes.That blower will not disappoint - it rocks. I had one and it throws the snow a mile. It was really worth all the hard work.

Considering it's all new to you, you're doing good. Life lessons are sometimes painful.

I have the same blower on my B3200. I have passed the 500 hr mark on the blower. Things to pay attention to are. Chain tension and lube using chainsaw bar oil. looser is better then too tight. When the teeth on the large sprocket start to curl it's time for a new one. The small one last's longer. Make a few spare chains with a new master link for each chain. I have never had one brake but running a worn one will eat the sprockets much faster. Pump grease into the auger zerks till you see it come out on the shaft on both ends. You don't want them to rust to the auger and pretzel it if you catch something in one. I bought a lot of grade 5 bolts , nuts and lock washer's to keep on hand I don't buy OEM sheer bolts. Also learn where the blower's sheer bolt is , take it to a fastener place and get a bunch of the bolt's and nuts. Change the gear box oil at the end of the season it's 80-W90 gear oil. Last week because of the hours I replaced the blower shaft bearing and the 2 that support the shaft for the small sprocket. I think the two for the auger shaft's will go forever as they spin slow and don't have much of a load. Having some 1/4 inch key stock on hand is a good idea as the yoke for the shaft for the small sprocket has fallen off a few times even when I have set the set screw so tight I was afraid I might strip it. I think lighter grease is needed for the square slip shaft and that's what pulls it off when you raise the blower. On the quick hitch where you tighten the large wing nut to hold it to the frame. Take a wrench to the bolt head that the wing is welded too. It will loosen no matter how tight you tighten it by hand. You don't want to loose that large chunk of steel that it pinches the frame with. Pay attention to the two large bolts that are used to hold both pieces of the quick hitch together. I had one loose it's nut and fall out to never be seen again. One last thing...I run chains of all four tires. Started out for the first five years on the rear. Finally coughed up the $$ to get some front wheel spacers so I could put them on the front. Money well spent. Enjoy the blower and don't blow out any windows.....

That chain is a "safety" thing and probably just a lawyer trophy from some lawyer who got rich. Anyway, that PTO is obviously dangerous, if you get caught in it, you're gonna have a bad day. There is a shield on it which has bearings (kinda) that allow it to spin independent of the shaft so that if you would contact that shield, it will stop spinning while the PTO continues to spin. Well, those bearings can seize or fail and then you don't have that protection anymore, but you wouldn't know until you grabbed the shaft. What that chain does is hold the shield stationary while the PTO is on so you can verify visually that the safety shield is functional.

Read up on hydraulic fluid and tissue necrosis. You'll decide that you don't want to touch that fluid. It ain't just another oil. Same blower here on the other side of Lake Champlain. It's a wonderful piece of machinery. To counter the dealership bashing in this thread, Champlain Valley Equipment CVE here in Addison County is a great dealership and service center. Also, you'll learn to get ready for snow early: get your equipment installed and tested a few weeks before the typical first snows (that come in mid November at lakeside elevation). Don't wait until you're covered in snow to start unboxing and assembling your equipment! Make sure to torque down the bracket that mounts the quick hitch tongue to the front of the Kubota - it will vibrate loose otherwise. I had the whole assembly come apart on me my first season. Tore apart the PTO shafts. CVE dealer fixed up the mess.

I demoed on of these years back on a 2650. It was impressive for what it was, but ended up not being adequate for what we needed. Demoed a 66~PTO HP tractor with an approximately 70”-76” wide, around 36” tall snow blower. That was what we actually needed. I was pretty impressed with the 2650 after using the 74hp tractor.

Congratulations! Some good pieces of advice in comments. Try and spray down the auger, impellers and housing area with a silicone lubricant.

The backhoe could be a very useful self rescue tool if you get it stuck!

Don't forget to remove the air intake line that goes from the front of the grill to the air filter. If you don't remove it you will be sucking in a bunch of snow into your air filter.

Good job. You'd think for the amount of money that cost it would have come with the hydraulic attachment for your shoot. But once you get it , it will be much easier for you

I've got the Bobcat equivalent setup, and very happy with it. I'm blowing in tighter quarters than you, but extra shear pins are a MUST. Some driveway markers are handy too. Also, I have a box blade on the rear, and find it's super handy for scraping and pushing snow. The blower isn't fond of icy banks, and I have the shoes set quite high to avoid picking up gravel, so the box blade is the perfect companion.

i didnt see a grease gun anywhere ....surely there are grease fittings on those augers and u-joints....

You said that you made the bolts as tight as you could make them. You should be using a torque wrench and elastic stop nuts for assembly. I hope the bolts don't break from over tightening. Please feed the wildlife corn and dog food, that will pretty much cover everything.

That is one beast of a snow blower! Looks like it works very well. Despite your initial minor set back with a few parts & pieces, everything came together nicely. That is going to make your winter life much easier and way more enjoyable. Plus it gives you peace of mind knowing that either one of you guys could almost effortlessly clear your driveway. 😉 Another worthy investment. Hopefully it's as good as Kubota's tractors and gives you many years of trouble free service. I really like the fact that it doesn't leave a wall of packed snow on the edges of your driveway like a plow would. That should allow for better drainage . As you know, long island snow is usually wet and heavy so I spray a heavy coating of silicone spray inside the chute and impeller/auger area to minimize clogging of my tiny 22" 5hp snowblower. I doubt that you will ever have that problem with that beast. Congratulations and best of luck with it. 👍👍

The dealer never told you about the hydraulic motor on the chute when you orderd the blower? From my experience with the bx2370 an the front blower is that the cutting edges wear very quick. So watch them. Keep shear pins close an also a set for the second stage auger fan, which is a different part Num then the ones that spin that first stage auger. Other then that, awesome tractor! So much nicer then it’s green counter part.

I wonder if Berco made that snowblower because the build of it reminds me of 3 Berco’s I’ve had. Two 40” 700255’s I sold in February 2022, both to the same guy for $800. He was going to attach them side by side for his small farm tractor. I had about $220 into buying them used. Last summer I found a 44” Berco for $100. I’m going to adapt it to my Toro 5xi 522xi. The tractor is 40.5” wide without weights. A 44” wide snowblower should make it a little easier to turn going through deep snow.

Good video, lots of snow. We have a bit larger tractor and have a reverse driving snow blower. It gets tiring at times. Also, love your cab, it’s a convertible ride for me. Brrrrr

Please condsider a rear box scraper to replace the rear hoe. See my rig in my video. You will enjoy backing over snow / dirt/ ag pulling it out. It saves turnig the entire tractor around. You'll work faster. Mine is a "rollover" style. Meaning pull debris forward or push stuff back. In my case the rear box (#800) is about right for the front loader balancing. An "el cheapo" rear blade is petty cash ≈$300. Box ≈$600. Rollover≈$2200. The rollover will assist the ftont to stay level, the each sorts work level espcially in soil or rock drive. Your blower seems to leave a pretty path but a rear blade will improve it. Believe it or not that rear blade will catch what the front missed.

What did the impeller noise turn out to be? That’s definitely NOT normal. It should be pretty quiet with new bearings, etc. Looks great other than that!
