Oh, the joy of building the Bushcat, but it remains to be seen if it will happen anytime soon.

How nice of you to say. Thanks!

That panel looks great. The issue with the smaller avionics companies is getting support down the road. Garmin does a great job (although you pay a premium). If your panel goes blank in 5 years, will that company still be supporting that display? That’s the only issue I see. If your channel wasn’t about an obscure airplane, it would be going viral! Maybe the Bushcat won’t be so obscure when you get the recognition you deserve! I think this will be great for the brand. I almost bought the amphibious Bushcat a few years ago. I’m still thinking about it. Keep up the high quality content.

Wow, thanks for the encouragement. I'm hoping the channel will help the brand as you say. I think it's a great airplane.

I wonder if this material is ordinary aluminum or something special?

How did you decide on two distinct radios vs one that can monitor the standby frequency? I've flown with one radio and hated it. I now fly with two, but realize that I rarely transmit on COM2, really only use it to check ATIS or monitor nearby CTAFs as I pass by. I do have a handheld in my bag, so am struggling with the idea of spending the money on a fixed COM2. Was there a factor that I'm not considering, something that swayed you one way vs the other? It may be clear by now that I'll likely have a comment on every video. Sorry in advance. ;)

Second com is the transponder, ADS-B in/out

Ah, gotcha. Your panel mock-up shows two COM radios, which raised the question. Nevermind!

I’ve had Comm 1 go out in a spam cam or have trouble transmitting. The rental was based at PWK so I was happy to have Comm 2 in that scenario. But I see what you’re saying. That panel looks sharp! Very clean and modern.

@@terrymck9332 Yeah, I'm really happy with it. Can't wait to see it finished.

What would you estimate the total hours on your build Tom. A friend on the airport here bought a Bushcat kit several years ago and hasn’t made much progress on it. I was thinking about approaching him to see if we could work a deal on it or even maybe a partnership.

My BushCat took approximately 400 hours. Of course they were very careful and deliberate on this build because, as you know, BushCat Tom is picky. 🙂

So Jeremy and Daniele personally build each plane? I figured they had a team. They made it look too achievable. Very nice.

Yes, the two are the "Aerosport Team" -- They really know what they're doing--EXPERTS!
