And as much as I love ZDY it's true she was 10x better in movies than in this drama so I think Cnetz critics are valid. This has nothing to do with looks & I don't know why you would think that. LOL If that is so then she would have never been as awarded, as popular and having most Cnetz declare her as the Best Actress of her generation. Her movies & acting are all praise by netizens.

@@ztaoexolisaguanlin5675 The reason why i wrote they only care about looks is because in this drama they mainly criticize about her looks. I mean yes in the first few episode her acting is a bit awkward but after that it gets better. But the netizens only watch one episode and give remarks mainly on her looks. I personally thought she looks good and her acting are on point, not the best but on point. And i dont think its netizen that declare her the best for her generation, i think its critics and the person that give award but i maybe wrong it is just what i thought.

I wouldn't absolve Bai Jue so easily, though. I loved this drama and I think it fully stands on Bai Jue's character, epically tragic, tragically epic, whatever. Also amazing acting by Xu Kai. But if I look past my sympathy and investment in his personaly feelings, I'm very clear that he acted shittily for sixty thousand years, except when he was Qingmu. He was always perfectly aware of the crimes Wu Huan was committing, and also that she was amassing power, but he found all sorts of "reasons" to wait until she got as powerful as she could, while she did her maximum damage, before he took any kind of action. But no, her crimes were just a collateral in his bigger picture. And why? Because he couldn't forgive himself.

@@pirimpallopirimpalli4932 Bai Jue and Tian Qi were aware of Wu Huan but there are 2 points that should be considered. First is they're not at their full true god powers. Bai Jue had Jingzhao covered for his power loss, while half of Tian Qi's power is supporting the Demon realm. Next is like Tian Qi said, Wu Huan (and Muguang) managed the Immortal realm for 60,000 years that they need concrete evidence to convince the Three realms. If you notice, the past credit always brought up whenever one made a mistake (eg. Jingyang's service of guarding the border between Immortal and Demon realm saved his ass from being whopped by Bai Jue), so the two can't be reckless (not to mention they're protecting Shanggu/Houchi as well).

@@user-nd3wy5bv9e I think most of that are excuses/contrivance. It's true for Tian Qi, because his reputation had been destroyed between his "betrayal" and Wu Huan's lies. And he was not so powerful. But Bai Jue was working in the shadows to take care of Shanggu. He was watching and biding his time while Wu Huan reigned as empress, even though he knew her. No matter those 60.000 years of her reign, as soon as he showed himself he took authority above all others. Yes, there were some apparances to salvage, but still the worst of the situation happened because he let Wu Huan grow in power. If he hadn't prioritized keeping Shanggu in a little powerless shell instead of letting her be her true self, he would have taken care of Wu Huan's threat in the bud.

During his life as "Boxuan", he's still weak because he spent thousands of years before to collect Shanggu's soul after it scattered, sealed the tribulation of chaos temporarily, hatch Houchi's shell because Go Jun was still struggling to do it even after 40k years, then he split his original being and gone into slumber. Meanwhile, Wu Huan ain't showing her true nature (and was just secretly feeding her greed of power by killing Feng Yan and Wu Xi to be the Queen of Phoenix) until the later years of marrying Muguang. However, if just-awaken Bai Jue exposes her without evidences (as Gods can conceal devil energy they cultivate), either the three realms wouldn't buy it (and can be uno-reversed card because they might think he just want to discredit the empress who reigned for 60k years of peace without the true gods), or Wu Huan may retaliate in a way Bai Jue can't handle/fully control because he has plans for the tribulation + he's weakened and can be cornered as Wu Huan is opportunist as hell (and has the backing of indecisive Muguang). The point is, Bai Jue is considering many things and acting reckless will thwart his plans. He blatantly said that he can end her the first time he woke up if weren't for his current power state. I must say, his excuses are valid and understandable.

@@user-nd3wy5bv9e I think they only are up to a point. Especially since his endgame, and something that took up most of his energies, was to replace Shanggu in her mission and duty. Yeah, what a hero, romantically, he wanted to die for her. But this kind of excuse is not too different from a stalker/abuser/control freak's excuse. If he'd accepted Shanggu's decisions instead of manipulating the whole universe to get things the way he wanted, he would have been able to do his own duty, which was to protect the universe, without so many innocent victims.

Yes because the heavenly empress (Wu Huan) is just a mere goddess here & that is already the highest position she can ever attain as she was born as a low phoenix servant & only get to cultivate to be a goddess because Shanggu have chosen her as one of her disciples. Shanggu on the otherhand is one of the 4 True Gods and not just a true god she is the CHIEF GOD. The highest of them all! Even the other 3 True Gods like Bai Jue, Tian Qi, & Yue Mi all have to bow to her. The True Gods will always be more powerful & of higher authority than any other gods or immortals. In this video Shanggu just woke up and 60,000 years have pass from when she sacrifice herself during the tribulation & she can't remember that she reincarnated to Houchi (which means the kid here is her son) because Baijue is repressing her memory. When Houchi died after childbirth that was when Shanggu awakens.

Going to make an edit here and say that Yue Mi is not one of the four true Gods. Zhi Yang is the 4th true God. He's currently in the God realm that has been sealed off. Also Bai Jue didn't suppress Shanggu's memories, but rather took them away so she can't remember what happened during the tribulation. But later on, he return them to her.

The heavenly empress governs the heavenly realm or immortal realm..which is below the God realm under Shanggu.
