In Genesis, God makes a good world and installs humans as its rulers. Humanity rebels and ends up ruling the world in a destructive way, leading to violence, death, and the founding of the city of Babylon. God’s response is to set in motion a plan to rescue and bless the whole world through the family of Abraham.

What's so odd about Noah passing out naked and drunk? This is after dealing with all of the animals in close proximity for at least one year while dealing with the grumblings of his family. I'd do the same thing if I were him. The first son made a mistake because when he discovered his father passed out, instead of covering his nakedness and shame on his own, he decided to tell his brothers about it further bringing embarrassment to his father. The other brothers have done the honorable thing for their father hence why the first son who discovered Noah was cursed.

I am a new Christian. I am 15 years old. I live in Libya. I have accepted Jesus Christ about 2 weeks ago. I have been capable of getting a kjv from play store. that's the only way that I am capable of getting a bible. my parents don't know about this so I have to keep this in secret and keep pretending to be a Muslim. if anyone who can provide me with links to websites or anything that can help me about Christianity and all these things I well be grateful. I hope someone can help me. peace and God bless.

@codychristian9619

+XCOM initiative that's amazing keep it up! Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Job are really worth checking out in the Old Testament for wisdom like this series suggests. But I think it could be beneficial to read Matthew, Mark or John to understand who Jesus really is and the sacrifice he made for humanity and the incredible miracles he performed. You'll learn how fair and just he really was. He came to earth to save everyone and make all people new in him.I think it would be breath of fresh air for you and very relatable. Personally, I read the New Testament first and then moved onto the Old Testament when I wanted to learn more about God, but as a Christian I think it's important to really know who Jesus is. It will help tremendously with life and in prayer especially!

I imagine this will be a scary time for you since being caught by your parents or society could have very bad consequences... However be courageous! "I have spoken these things to you so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world" - John 16:33. Words from Jesus to encourage in difficult times. I also encourage you to read the Psalms as they were written by King David as he was surrounded by enemies. I will personally pray for you as well!

Thank you for simplifying this journey with key points and wrap up for each chapter. I would imagine that the grief would be excruciating, to watch your children continually destroy themselves, especially when you know what they have the potential to become. That is why people are reconciled with God, the Father, through Christ, the Son. Christ is the archetype for what we are supposed to become. When we are "born again" we become a "child of God" once more.

Jesus was either God and He knew it so we should believe Him as He said He is the Truth the Life, and He said He is the Only Way to the Father. We should believe it and accept His merciful redemption thru His Cross & bow our hearts to His singular authority. If this is NOT true then, He was not God, He knew it and was a liar. If He was not God and did not know it. He was a crazy lunatic. Truly God, liar or lunatic so choose which you will believe & serve. Sheva & Jesus cannot both be true. Hebrews 9 says it is appointed to man once to die and then judgement. If that is true, then reincarnation must be false. I am putting all my trust on Jesus, and not too far in the future I will die and be will Him in a beautiful place with a new eternal body. I urge you, my brother through Adam, to think about this very important issue.

Thank you for all these videos. I remember when you guys just had a few videos on some books of the bible and I appreciate all the hard work that goes into making each one. Just started my 3rd time through your bible reading plan and all your videos have greatly helped me understand and appreciate every book of the bible. Each video is concise and easy to watch. I truly enjoy taking in God's word every day. Thank you BibleProject!

Ryan It may be true sometimes. But, 1: Music alone is not Defined itself (good or bad. Devil or God). What the music is used for or for whom, depends on who YOU want to make it/sing it for. A beautiful Orchestra with a bunch of Harps could easley be used for a "Devils music" song. 2: Who cares what things are "usually called". All that matters is, what the Bible tells us, not people. (Giving the case you believe in the bible ;)) But I guess these points are not new to you. ;) Just wanted to make clear why I asked. I find this Video also nice!

I appreciate the ways that several familiar Bible stories are presented as a continual arc with an overall theme. I had not noticed that before. And the visuals that appear while the audio is going keeps my attention as well as making the lesson more understandable. This is a fascinating way to zoom out from the detailed text to notice the contexts of the interlocking passages.

I accidentally came upon this video while searching for an audiobook of Genesis back in 2014. Ironically, this video was the "genesis" for my obsession with The Bible Project. Your videos and podcast is my go-to when I need a visual/audial aid while studying the scriptures. Thank you and may God keep you.

The work is amazing the artwork is amazing and the information is so accurate. Thank you so much from a convert who has been baptized in the name of the Lord in Easter 2017. I like the fact that you guys kept it short and children friendly for the gruesome facts of Noah's son's actions were skipped. For those who need more detailed information on the details can do more research.
