Not the only person. Perhaps the only politician. Almost every Briton I've spoken to (who is not some lefty student) has known exactly where the country was going. My dad, like so many others, knew the EU would become a political organisation back when it was first proposed as the common market and voted against it all those years ago. You can watch clips from the 60s where Britons were telling us what the result of immigration would be; they were exactly right. It goes on and on. We have had a lot of smart people who were very good at predicting what was going to happen; the problem is none of them today are involved in politics or allowed in the media.
