As someone who has just recently begun watching your live streams, the way you got jumpscared makes me very happy. Something about the break in the glamorous, silky smooth monologue that makes me think that perhaps, there is the slightest chance that AA is at least partially human and not fully the Olympian God of Oration.

PZ and Kenshi have a lot in common, both were developed over ten years from a single person, and both show how an indie game can become better than AAA games.

The sound updates have really upped the immersion. The wind chimes from the most recent one while wearing headphones actually sounded like they were somewhere outside, like 3 houses down.

Man I wish they did put sitting in the game, nothing says unimersive like sitting on the floor next to a comfy couch.

I watched this stream, and when I said "Don't undersell yourself," (which he didn't see until 14:13) I was talking about his ability to talk philosophy, not soup lol But seriously. I lost a job that I loved on October 13 of this year, and I spiraled into a deep depression. I had only worked there since March, but after working as a wage slave for Amazon for 4 and 1/2 years, it was a welcome change. I had energy again. No one was timing my bathroom breaks with a stopwatch. I wasn't being threatened with my job for every mistake. I ended up in psychiatric care twice during my career at Amazon because of depression and anxiety... I had suicidal thoughts more often than I care to admit and nightmares about my job on a weekly basis. Merck was my ticket out. And without much warning, it was gone. I became dangerously depressed and anxious. I probably should have gone to the hospital, but without Amazon's top tier insurance, I was even more terrified of whatever they would bill me. The thought of going back to long hours, high stress, low pay, and hard, backbreaking work shook me to my core. Between submitting my resume and filing job applications, I scrolled through youtube and social media to distract myself from my situation. One night when anxiety was eating me alive, I decided to give ambiguousamphibian's Project Zomboid CDDA Zero To Hero Challenge another listen. The story of Gerald Williams and aa's tongue in cheek philosophy musings were for me and my troubled mind what a cup of hot chocolate and a cozy fire are for a house in a snowstorm. Maybe it didn't make the difference between life and death, but it brought me comfort during a time when I needed in the most. TL;DR: Listening to ambigousamphibian when I was having a mental health crisis calmed me down enough to sleep because he's the Bob Ross of project zomboid

Beer will last for quite a long time, but the hops will loose flavour and taste funky after only a few months, so hop rich beer like IPAs will not keep very well. Lagers have a lot less hops so they will stay good for a year without any problems, and darker beers like Stouts and Porters can be kept for years. Dark and cool is the way to go since light will break them down quicker. That's why beer is almost always found in green or brown glass bottles, except for really light beers like Corona, since they're almost like water anyways. Cheers!

Started playing on Eerie Country and having my best playthrough -- was going to ask if you had played it yesterday and voila. I spawned on spawnpoint C and am currently holed up similar to Klean, in one of the best base buildings in the game imo. It is the garage to the South of the large military base, and just a bit North of the large gas station. Really great place for a scenic & immersive setting.

You mention knowing where you are being an immersion breaker and I have to say that it's the opposite for me. I don't wake up in homes that I don't know where I'm at in any way. I leave my house and I know everything within miles of me. Not knowing where a store is completely breaks the immersion for me. I should know where to get gas, how to get groceries, all that stuff. 7dtd makes sense, because you're intentionally left out in the middle of nowhere because you did something stupid. This is Zomboid, where you're at home (maybe are a shut-in?) when the zombie apocalypse hits.
