These ports are amazing, especially for someone like me who is sensitive to input lag. I went through all the effort of RGB modding an N64, buying good cables, owning a CRT, but even that can't compare. 😅

I used to also be way into collecting hardware to get the highest fidelity, but still period authentic, experience as I could. But with how the retro game market is absolute bonkers right now, this is a perfect alternative!

Awesome! First time I heard of this. Just remember to run things like this in some sort of containerised environment, if you can. Not just for security, but to prevent accidental wiping of your home folder and such.

that's the one thing i was wondering about the most. i can't handle button mapped n64 controls. i can't do it. now to just source an nso n64 controller. do they still only make 12 every six months? can i get one without being dry effed by a greasy scalper?

I wouldn't mind having a 3DS Madras mask texture pack because I would like to see it I like that even though I know it's not original but still I think that's the best way for me personally because I also like the original style of the game but I just want to have it since I have it on the shape of arkania and I would like to see it implemented to but maybe it's just me maybe I'm just a weirdo

The app works without steam. But I just had to do it that way because my N64 controller had issues without it. Which I know is strange and I should figure out why. Ship of Harkinian just supported it no problem so my guess is just that the MM recomp is so new there are still some bugs here and there to work out!

They cant! These projects do not ship with the original code and you need to provide it yourself.

They dmca'd the Yuzu team because they were distributing game dumps illegally. There's already legal precedent in the US that not only are emulators legal, but they are valid competition with the original manufacturers

but Ocarina of time its been reverse enginered first along with perfect dark and mario 64.I manage to play Ocarina of time with 4k 60fps and 3d sbs using helixmod.
