I’m a young fursuiter and I really wanted a fursuit of my own, I tried making one and failed miserably. I took a break and came back with a new idea, using a Dino head. This tutorial helped me IMMENSELY and I am now In the process of planning my first con! So excited to wear my creation! 😊

Haha same! I’ve seen these Dino masks and I wanted to try one. It turned out perfectly! These days I seem to be trying everything. Animating, photography, fursuiting, and a little bit of Gacha. (I’m only doing a gacha MEP because I want to see how well I work in group projects.)

Mops SPOOF Oi! There extremely annoying too there’s a lot of them they were cool at first but now there annoying. I got one too work on cause I thought they were cool, but I’m not gonna finish..and then they start drama with like dating and I just hate them. I’m not a big fan of kids to begin with though

Tiana C. Not all dinomask owners are kids. And Not all are annoying. Also not finishing the mask just because you don’t like the majority of people who use them us pretty dumb. They’re also really cheap and work great as a suit base so I don’t see the problem.

It's long past when this came out, it's 2023. I am quite young but I think I'm very good at art! I've just had the feeling I should become a furry, since it's an useful and creative way to express my creativity. This is one of the easiest tutorials I've seen yet, im still saving up for the stuff (if my parents let me and allow me to be a furry) Thank you for this great tutorial.

Happy New Year! Tips for making a dino mask: Use 1 mm EVA foam instead of 5mm in order to move the jaw more smoothly. The thinner, the better. Use a mannequin head with a neck stand for better support. A regular Styrofoam head will not be able to stand with the weight of the dinomask, especially with fur and foam 1-inch or 2-inch upholstery foam works better. Thicker foam can be harder to work with. Also, 1 inch is cheaper than thicker foams. Use modge podge to keep the paint from chipping. A good 2 thin layers will do the job. It also makes it look glossy Use permanent paint and paint markers for your mask, not washable. You should always use a balaclava (also known as a ski mask or eye showing mask) because it offers good lining and makes the hood easier. Its more comfy and the mask is cheap, only setting you back about 3 dollars USD depending on where you live and where you buy it I like to use a craft knife or box cutter (whichever you prefer)in order to cut the fur so you don't have uneven fur Use pet clippers to shave faux fur, it comes off cleaner You can make custom teeth with the sculpter you use by removing the teeth with a screwdriver. Just stab inbetween the area where the teeth are and pull them out, sculpt however you like, and boom! New teeth. It's easy aswell

Scarlet wolf it takes an INSANE amount of time and patience to make a fursuit of any type. (Also, buy a hECc ton of hot glue)

I have a question, I hope this makes sense since im just a teen. My grandma has a old sewing machine but theres a problem, well I don't know if it is. Are sewing machines for fursuits supposed to have a stitch under it? like thread coming from the top and from were the teeth are? "Teeth are the little groovy thingys at the bottom that help push the cloth/fleece etc through" I wish I could show you what I mean if this doesnt make sense lol

I’m going to make my first fursuit in secret, my friend said if we have a sleep over she can sneak some fur in her bag and a Dino mask, my parents think it’s a sexual thing and I’m afraid of them so Imma attempt to make a full suit and then just walk out of my room one day like: “This is where all that hot glue went!” I have a whole plan, just need the chance to get in contact with my supplier, I have like ZERO access to foam and neither does she but I have much clay. Imma have to do a lot to the Dino head to make it resemble my CAT sona, lol. I’m like, sO excited this’ll probably take like a year to gather everything and then I probably only get like a few hours by myself in a month, every now and even then my best chance is literally when my mom goes to the store without me so it’s gonna be hard to keep stuffing it under my bed mid-process but um, you know, I am willing to do that. Spirit Halloween is gonna be my friend. I got a plague doctor mask to be a bird base, from there so yEah, Imma keep this updated Edit: so I just realized there’s no school here on Wednesdays so the school can clean really well, my mom goes into work on Wednesday so Wednesday is woRk dAy.

I've noticed many young furs watching this video and planning on getting started on their fursuit. This is great! However, please understand that projects like these take a ton of time, experience with sewing and crafts, and of course money. Something like this can and will take weeks at a time. I would highly recommend getting your parent or a trusted grown up to help you especially with the hot glue and sewing! If you don't think you can do this remember you can always just paint and it will look great! Good luck. :)
