'Painting is about finding. Putting something down or taking it off. Focusing on detail and drifting away from clarity in the process. When you get it right, it’s like creating magic. My thoughts on life and legacy have filtered into this body of work. A journey like mine is full of success and failure, mirrored in certain works like The Place we Came to Rest where I have used discarded pieces of paint from my palette which, in places seems to dry out, die and change to serve a purpose of reuse and rebirth.
