some older phones have it in the Handset - behind the rotor - however the phone is worth more to a collector than the value of the gold in scrap :\ QC

I'm a 90's kid but let me tell you, I would take my 302 telephone rather than a modern phone any day!

@dgwaters Nice, I'm an 80's kid, and I'm going to be using my 500 sets for many years to come, I'm after a 1910's candlestick :)

They sure were/are solid, but you couldn't own them! (Except for some folks serviced by the independent companies.) Having the Bell system and then having it broken up gave phone collectors like me a sort of best of both worlds scenario. =)

Can you imagine how hard it must have been to coreograph and film the stp motion for all those telephone parts!?

I love to collect the 0ld Phones & they have Gold in an emergency , you could sell that , now that you see how hard it is to build one , you should collect 0ld Phones Also ! :) QC
