Ariana Grande earned her first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with November 2018’s “thank u, next.” The song racked up impressive numbers on Genius, too, giving Grande the second-biggest debut of all time on the site. The self-empowerment single is produced by LA-based duo Social House and Grande’s frequent collaborator Tommy Brown, aka TBHits.

You mean Producer/Songwriter? The video was mostly talking about the Songwriting process of the instrumental composition. Beat Making is writing and composing the music as the Co-Writer. Producing is directing and overseeing production and recording. So when vocals are laid down, they are Producer's overseeing the whole thing through all the way down to the mix that brought the whole song together. *PRODUCER=DIRECTOR* *SONGWRITER=BEAT MAKER/LYRICIST*

I really enjoyed how to the beat was created very organically and it all came from a vibe they had! I feel like having a very open mind and reducing the fear of risk is what creates the best music which I am definitely going to use more in my studio time and production. You never know what the outcome is going to be as long as you're enjoying the process and being true to yourself as an artist. I also really loved how they didn't tell all of their tricks because that unique aspect is what has helped them succeed and they want to keep that privacy.

Producers never get any credit for just how talented they are. I could never even dream of being able to do the things they’re doing just to make a song come to life. It’s WILD man

I have new respect for these new prods. I love how in the beginning they asked Ariana how she's feeling right now. That's a huge part of the process.
