Unless you know how BTS works, you don't realize how RARE it is that BTS will accept a song as it. They NEVER do that. Even if they like a song, there's always little tweaks or changes they add in. What a legend

There were still some minor changes to the lyrics to suit a more diverse audience than the original English language... Has he mentioned in regards to the paracetamol reference... Not in the version that was released to the public. But in general I get what you mean that this is the first time they gave the writer/composer full creative freedom with minium changes...

@@mekdes9814 They do write their own lyrics. Check their new album that will be out on friday, all of them wrote lyrics to every song. With Dynamite it's different, because it's in english. I think it's the only song in their discography that they had nothing to do with.

as much as i love BTS and dynamite. compared to other songs that came out this year i personally don’t think dynamite should get soty. i’m not trying to start up a fight or offend anyone i’m just putting out my opinion.

@@rachealosifeso3906 yeah, I totally understand where you’re coming from. The competition for this year is very intense, but I honestly think they deserve this one. They released this song to send out good vibes during COVID, a time of worry, isolation, anxiety, etc, and I think the overall message of the song is enough to earn SOTY. If Dynamite was released at a different time, I’m pretty sure it would be still be successful, but not to the point where it’s breaking records and being played internationally, in English, all over the world. The timing was right, the message was beautiful, and they got hundreds of thousands of new fans who have never listened to K-Pop a minute of their lives.

@@Rima42659 BTS aren’t the only people who made a song to send good vibes because of Covid. Multiple artists did but they didn’t do as good as BTS or get as much recognition because them and their fandoms aren’t as big as BTS’s. BTS would’ve done good with any song they put out, but you can’t say that for a lot of groups out there. don’t get me wrong BTS deserve every good thing that they have gotten and they are going to get but, sometimes i feel like ARMY’s overhype what BTS put out just because they’re their faves. No hate to BTS though. It’s not that i don’t think BTS deserve soty period. just not with this song.

@Day I respect all song writers. But just imagine the amount of music choices these big pop stars go through. To choose one and then make choreography, singing, and making a hit takes considerable amount of time and effort. Just imagine if this was used by any other artist? Who? It's so interesting to see how the song is constructed! What I found interesting in this deconstruction of Dynamite is that every single element really shines in the song and its presence is very "visible". Usually when I watch how songs are made they have lots of elements that add flavor but aren't a defining feature of the track, while here everything from the guitar to horns and piano is crucial. And David here is so lovely and humble so I loved this video even more 💜

BTS wanted to spread some happiness in this pandemic and they really did it. I was stuck in my room because I was infected and I couldn't even get up from my bed and then they released Dynamite a few days later. 6:34 I dont know how to describe it but once the original song with JKs high note came on my heart kinda skipped a bit with a beat of pure joy- David is right the instrumentals are very well made but what takes this song to another level are BTSs voices !!
