What a wonderful video.. Sublime musicians-ship, sublime music (of course!) and so much tangible love for it. And how lovely to see some old (yes..) familiar faces again! Immediately bought the CD :-)

9:13 this is such valuable insight by Dorothee Mields. When she "burst onto the scene" as a 22-yr-old in and around the Akademie für Alte Musik in Bremen c.1993/4, she already had so much of all this insight, though quite young. Her teacher Elke was gainfully guiding her, too.

As churches were in Bach's time in the winter. Perhaps there is a new Original Temperature Movement?

@@hemiolaguy It can be argued that we likely hear this music performed to higher standards today than in the 1700s, just because of the effects of temperature on instrument tuning.
