The scorching song was a direct response to MGK’s own diss track, “Rap Devil,” which was in turn prompted by the shots Eminem took at the Cleveland rapper on “Not Alike.” Production on “KILLSHOT” is handled by IllaDaProducer, who also placed several tracks on Eminem’s most recent album, ‘Kamikaze.’ The Florida-based beatmaker spoke with Genius about creating the track on the latest episode of ‘Deconstructed.’

DDOTM PRODUCTIONS agreed the beat sounds nice. But it’s literally the most lazy production ever. He literally dragged in a sample as the main melody, didn’t even make it. That sample is literally the whole beat. The actual production he did was just to fill in the main melody.

I love how any one Em puts on the homie always has so much respect for the man... you can tell Em actually does try and promote real talent up into the game and the results are not only the boss jams created but the artist then has there foot in the door and its slick to always hear them humbled that tha goat seen the diamond out there and decided to put them on..no matter how you feel about Em or his music when it comes to spitting and the pen homie is on a tier most cant even come near..

Agreed. I wish more producers would compose their own melodies and then loop those. Sometimes it’s perfect when you take from another, but originality matters... I don’t know why people think it’s okay to take someone’s else’s shit and pass it off as your own...

Music is great, but if you want to copy other’s music, be a cover band, or if you don’t want to do that, write your own. There will always be a market for regurgitated crap. That’s what’s happening with movies, too, but you think people won’t be complaining and wanting to see something new? Yeah, there you go. Write original stuff if you wanna be great. Regurgitate other’s art if you wanna be fake.

This is just a modern version of the same thing.. The originality is in the bars... Hence why it's called hip hop... U want live music go listen to shit indie music
