The clay was just part of the ground until one day she touched it and gave it form and made it funcional and exceptionally beautiful due to the care of her touch. Each roll and each cut from a sharp edge. Each step and every action well placed. They all say the same, a creator is giving a new life to an old piece of matter.

How does the clay get hardened?

They didn't show the final stage, baking in an oven. And maybe glazing. I've worked in porcelain and designed vases, dishes, cups etc for a German manufacturer. We'd have done that teapot with an entirely different technique, interesting to see how it's done in other parts of the world.

Traditionally, as I am learning, purple clay is not usually thrown, all yixing clay teapot are hand built. And there is no way to buy yixing clay in the u.s. it is only available in yixing china.
