Slice of Life, or, how a handful of intensely passionate Croatians, and one Slovenian composer, on a shoestring budget, proceed to teach How Filmmaking Should Be Done!! Gentlemen, I am lost in admiration. ^_^ Two thumbs, WAY the frak UP!

@@sliceoflifefilm >>> (1) You folks did GREAT WORK! (2) As a NON-filmmaker, I am curious about the motion control equipment you use for filming the miniature effects. Did you purchase that equipment commercially _'off-the-shelf',_ or did you have to fabricate it yourselves?

You guys are freaking geniuses. This film is so much better than 99% of the big budget Hollywood crap it keeps pumping out every year. I hope you guys can make this short film into a full length feature film!

As a long time fan of Blade Runner one thing that us fans obsess over is the level of detail this particular world has. This is the main reason I can go back to the film and never get tired of it. As for your film I'll be doing the same with repeated viewings. Thank you for making this.

I first saw the actual movie and i was like "oh well not bad at all, not as inventive as the original Blade Runner, but the setting and atmosphere is extremely well caught and reproduced. Impressive what computer effects can do today!" Then I saw this "making of" and I am just completely flabbergasted. You guys REALLY ROCK. This is true dedication into the REAL ART of filmmaking and a punch in the face of all that animation crap we see in Hollywood productions. And you are a bunch of very funny freaks, i was pissing my pants laughing when watching this making of.

Absolutely love their filmmaking style. This guerilla style is what I relate with more than the cookie cutter style of filmmaking as I feel this achieves more in a short time than having 60 people on set trying to move a light or a camera or change something. Bunch of friends, getting together trying to make something in a super fun/hilarious way. Koodos guys! If you guys ever need professional compositing/vfx help, please feel free to get back to me, would love to collaborate! :)

I definitely wanna see more of this,I hope they continue with another project using the same methods These guys made a movie that looks 10 times better than any cgi film made in the past 20years, They made a short movie that looks better than all the recent star wars movies put together that cost hundreds of millions to make and absolutely jam packed with cgi, And they did it by using miniatures and almost zero costs compared to Hollywood, Imagine what they could achieve with even a third of a big budget Hollywood production, I was absolutely blown away when I watched their short movie 'slice of luck'

Just saw Slice of Life, and I need to say you guys did a superb job; The attention to detail was excellent, and I'm sure the filmmakers on the originals could learn a few things from you guys. The sheer amount of effort, the fact you shot with miniatures and were true to the source material make this production fit right in with the Blade Runner universe seamlessly. You should be extremely proud of this. It's by far the greatest Blade Runner fan production I've ever had the pleasure of viewing. Thanks for all the hard work and for showing us all your process.
