Very nice discussion. One point I noted or I think is that not many in this panel itself may have seen Rekha. I see them referring each others movies. But didnt see a reference of Rekha.That was 1 intense film. Even Rajishas reference of heroine kicking ass was Jayajayahe not Rekha. It was a great movie

Yeah I get your point .. but the main difference between them , eventhough jaya Jaya Jaya hey movie , darshanas kick was mentioned ..there was an element of comedy or satire in it .. basically it’s also a movie of satire genre .. but Rekha , is a dark revenge thriller .. an intense one at that.. and also this movie haven’t been promoted quite well even when it’s produced by Karthick Subbaraj

To people critiquing box office success. Every industry has failures and Kerala is small state it's always the norm for couple of movies to find success. Worse is in other industries with huge failures like making a movie on 200 cr budget and it's either average or like recent bollywood movie ganapath. Thank god thats not happening in Kerala. The quality of movies is downhill for bollywood and tamil cinema except for handful of films. Instead of criticizing based on quantity and box office think about quality of cinema. Malayalam cinema and ott shows are the best in terms of quaility.
