I took mine out today to run a roll of TriX through it. I have the waist level finder on it, which makes it much easier to manipulate and a true joy to use.

I’m in the market for a medium format SLR. I want some modern amenities, light meter, aperture priority, and possibly full auto. I’m looking at the Bronica ETRS, Pentax 645 and this guy. Does the 1000 have any auto functions?

I forgot to mention that the AE eye level viewfinder not only has a light meter but does have an apeture priority capability as well! I havnt used it myself so I can't speak on it much but im sure you can find some articles online about it!

If you're looking at the ETRS, make sure you get the ETRSi. This variant has mirror lock-up. As for the Mamiya M645 1000s, it has a finder which provides auto exposure, an available power winder, and a couple of zoom lenses. I don't actually want any of those options for my 1000s, but it amuses me to think that you can actually turn the thing into a point and shoot.
