Almost a year on from the Manchester Arena terror attack, two teenage survivors are still suffering with the aftermath. Their mums, Lisa Fenton and Karen Orchard reveal how they’ve struggled to get the support they need for their daughters, who didn't experience serious physical harm, but have been left psychologically scarred.

Counselling is useless for trauma. You need cbt. I agree with you about no help for mental health. I have been left with trauma and ptsd from a past abusive relationship and I begged the mental health team to help me during the telephone assessment and they told me they can’t help me. All they offer is counselling and I said I’ve had that already and it doesn’t help. She said there’s not much more we can offer. We can’t just make your problems go away. I was shocked. That’s mental health services for you! Sorry guys and sending love x
