The Mancunian hauled by Jubilee 45596 Bahamas PLUS GLIMPSES of two diesel hauled railtours.

The day started at Bescot Stadium where two diesel hauled railtours were scheduled to pass within a short space of time. The first tour top and tailed by two class 47s passed without any issues but the second, top and tailed by a Class 40 and 47, coincided with a service train blocking the view so I had to make do with a going away shot. We then move on to the main attraction at Yarnfield Junction, north of Stafford, where we see Jubilee No. 45596 'Bahamas' on a London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly railtour. The final location for the day was at the very busy Rugeley Trent Valley Station. Lots of action in a very short space of time and we were extremely lucky to see a clear view of the returning Jubilee. I believe the appearance of a steam locomotive was the first time in preservation at Manchester Piccadilly. Hope you enjoy the video.

Magnificent. I was hauled as a passenger by a Jubilee Class locomotive when a boy in 62/3 from York to Todmorden the train averaging 60 m.p.h.. I can still see it from the open slam door window rounding the left hand curve with sparks and smoke trailing.Of course none of the locomotives then were as pristine nor the worn carriages. Superbly captured throughout the day John, with a few narrow misses, but when that Freight came tearing past at the end, I nearly fell off my chair...Regards...Bob

Really love the train platform landing sequences. The first captures the female voice announcement that I assume is computer generated and that I appreciate fome my decades ago UK tour. The last video so cool of all the high speed rolling stock of various types.
