Amazing build! Did you ever consider lighting for the interior and engines?
@dansmodeluniverse5 ай бұрын
I did initially and in hidsight probably should have, but I don't mind that I didn't because looking at it, even now, lighting is the last thing on my mind.

I’m new to this and want to buy my first building kit. Seems like you need a fair amount of tools. Are they expensive? Also I was wondering why you do so much effort for the interior when you don’t see that when you close it all up. Just for the fun of it? It’s an honest question, not trying to insult you. Looks very good and your work is impressive!

Hi Steven, that's it, just for the fun of it. Also, even though I closed it up, I didn't glue it so I can always reopen it and light the interior if I ever wanted to. But at the end of the day, just like the dashboard of the Batmobile, the majority of the Spitfire cockpit, it was fun doing them and they'e complete. I'm currently building the Plymouth Fury (the Christine car), and the most detailed part of it is the engine, which you won't see once the hood is down :) A good set of tools doesn’t cost a huge amount and a decent beginner’s airbrush does the job. Now the price does start to add up, especially when you add in all the paints but remember, especially with airbrushing, a small amount of paint covers a surprisingly large area. So, once you get used to it, the paints last longer. Also, my tools collection is a result of a few years accumulation, you build it up as you go along. I can send you on some recommendations if you wish. Cancel Reply

Hello ! Amazing job ! What brand of paint did you use to do this please ?

Thanks Sarah. I always use Tamiya. An odd occasion I use Humbrol, but 99% of the time, Tamiya

Fit for figure 1,25inch ?
@dansmodeluniverse4 ай бұрын
The model is 1:72 scale, 1:25 wouldn't work, far too big
