I absolutely loved her in this. Her acting through facial expressions was also seriously on point showing that she has a story of her own even if you never seen the clone wars or Rebels.

Here's some trivia for you guys. This episode premiered on Bruce Lee's 80th birthday. The actress playing The Magistrate is Diana Lee Inosanto, daughter of Bruce's best friend Dan Inosanto and she is also Lee's goddaughter.

Tython is quite possibly the most pivotal planet in Star Wars history, it was exclusive to Legends until it was made canon in this episode, it's is so important because it is the birthplace of the Jedi before they were even called Jedi. In that time they were called Je'daii and sought to live in balance with both the light and the dark instead of clinging only to the light like their descendants

One of the best part of this episode is that Ahsoka Tano image wasn’t spoiled beforehand! We all got to be blown away when we see her for the first time in action not from a still picture. It’s refreshing!!!!

Absolutely. The trailers for the show havent included any footage from episodes 5-8, so its all completely new, and it's a welcome step in the right direction for trailers when so many show so much. Take the trailers for Amazing Spiderman 2 for instance - basically showed the whole movie so when I saw it in theatres, I felt like i only paid to see 20 mins or so of footage which had been left out of the trailers. The less which do that, the better

Best star wars content possibly in this century other than clone wars. Thanks to the writers for finally reviving the star wars hype. And I mean no disrespect to the episodes 1-3, 3 probably is my favorite star wars movie but I can't deny that the Mandolorian is the type of quality the new trilogy should have been.

From what I understand, Rosario Dawson signed a MASSIVE contract, which includes provisions for the possibility of a spinoff. I think they wanted to see how fans would react to a live-action Ahsoka. So, yeah, I think we're getting a spin-off.

It would be a huge mistake NOT letting her get a spinoff. Ashoka is one of the most popular star wars characters and to not give her a spinoff would probably piss off a lot of fans. Rosario Dawson is such a likeable person too, she was great in the daredevil universe.

Apparently Tython is a planet referenced in the expanded universe, now legends. It’s one birth planets of the Jedi order.

Tython is also one of the starting planets in the MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic for players that pick a Jedi class. As someone who plays that game, I am so excited to see it in live action. Although, the game is set almost 4000 years before The Mandalorian, so it would probably just be ruins by now.

@@ShadowGamman Wasn't Tython also one of the places where the Force Wars took place, which happened 20,000 years ago? Because I recall a early-game dialogue saying that, around the time where you would do the Jedi Trials. Tython's ruins were already around 20,000 years old. Satele Shan then rediscovered the planet and set up home-base there. If thats anything to go by, there could be some rich opportunities to expand the official canon lore.

As cool as that would be I don’t want it to happen. If Luke finds Grogu he would most likely take him to his new Jedi academy and if that is true then Grogu would have died because Kylo killed everyone at the academy

Ahsoka, Grogu, and Thrawn!!!! This is how you encourage new or casual fans to watch the animated series. And Rosario Dawson just got the role of her life!!! Fun Fact: The magistrate is played by Diana Inosanto, daughter of Dan Inosanto who was the greatest student and best friend of Bruce Lee. She teaches Jeet Kun Do which is the martial art that Bruce Lee invented. Which is why she was so skilled at handling that spear.

No lie, Grogu just became the most popular name over night. 🤣 Rosario Dawson delivered beyond expectations. Best episode of the series imo. Was drawn and excited from beginning to end. Can only imagine what the future holds, Obi-Wan series otw, Boba Fett series otw, possible Ahsoka Tano series...? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Let’s all hope. 🤣🙏🏼

I think the Boba fett show was cancelled because they decided to pursue other characters and stories. Obi wan was delayed now it's back on track. I'm definitely interested in an ashoka spinoff. They should move forward with it.

I think it'll be mace, I was thinking we was dead but feel like it could be a cool reveal if out of the shadows a wounded old mace appears and begins to train Grogu to weild both light and dark sides of the force just like mace does, (which maybe they could reveal that he used a bit of the dark side to heal with him self as he would be near death from that drop) making Grogu really powerful and maybe because of this Grogu then helps Mando take down Gideon but in the later seasons he struggles to fight the dark side as he comes close to lossing Mando a lot (idk that's just my theory 😅)

Luke DOES travel to Tython at around this time. TFA visual dictionary mentions that Luke spent this time traveling to ancient Jedi temples, and it specifically mentions Tython. I can't wait to see that planet - the starter planet for both Jedi classes in SWTOR.

Lore wise, Tython is the birthplace of the jedi. It's the location of the first jedi temple. It's also the starter planet for jedi in swtor mmorpg.

I remember people being skeptical about Rosario dawson playing ahsoka. Just as people were with heath as joker and so on.. I knew rosario dawson would play her well. Amazing actually. Shes a likeable person, she was likeable in the daredevil universe, shes a badass likeable person here. ahsoka is an amazing jedi. We should get a spinoff show with her.

I think everyone missed the fact that Michael Bean also played Johnny Ringo in Tombstone and lost his duel against Doc. I think he said a small line in Mando that mimics what he said to Doc in Tombstone.

I really loved how this episode had visual callbacks to old samurai films. The storytelling was beyond phenomenal this week and the cinematography just encapsulated me in my viewing. And the score for this episode was just so damn great. Especially the last piece at the end. It's fair to say this might just be the most visually appealing TV show out there, at least to me.

Makes sense since mace has been rumored to have survived and to appear in the Mandolorian at some point, maybe in season 3. Ahsoka isnt the only jedi we will see in the Mandolorian.

Tython is the original jedi Home World. More jedi have been trained there than on coroscant. You get a lot of info on it in the game Star Wars The Old Republic. Coroscant was later on made into Jedi capital.

Love how the second Ahsoka changed to the reverse grip the Magistrate was caught off guard, it’s like the whole time Ahsoka was on Corvus she was saving her best skill just for the magistrate.

Ever since Michael Beine was casted for season 2, I would’ve guessed he was playing the bounty hunter, Dengar. You know? The one who had the white cloth over half of his face. I never knew what ended up happening with that character but it would be nice to see a familiar face again.

Ahsoka brings up such a cool thing for this series to explore, how Mando (a non-force sensitive dude) having to father this powerful force sensitive kid who if trained will be susceptible to the temptations of the dark side. Should Grogu be trained at all? Will he have to be trained and if so, how does Mando handle that? Does he sever his fatherly bond with Grogu? Do they stay family and try to navigate the dangerous minefield of attachment in combination with great power? All of which is complicated by Grogu’s infancy and their communicative hindrances. This show has so much potential moving forward.

its been confirmed that this show takes place BEFORE the ending scene of Rebels animated show, which means Thrawn and Ezra are still in deep space and Ashoka hasnt gone to meet Sabine, this also means a spinoff show fits perfectly here as a show about Sabine and Ashoka looking for Thrawn and Ezra
