I’m hopeful and I think Disney is praying that this movie will stop the hemorrhaging of their failed movie attempts and TV shows. I was there in 1977 when the very first movie came out and I’ve seen everything since then not happy about them all, but I’m praying.

@@DaG.O.A.T.I agree. Granted some things in Star Wars could have been a little better under Disney, but they aren't horrible. Even the games that have come out since Disney took over Star Wars are pretty good. That's why I wish that people would at least give any upcoming Star Wars content a chance, wheither its movies, shows, or games. And if they don't like it, that's fine by me. At least they gave it a chance.

Disney: "Oh no, they don't appreciate our announcement of the Rey movie. What shall we do? - Quick, announce a Mando and Grogu movie! - A what? But we're not prepared to make it! - Do it anyway. Hopefully it will distract the audience for a while." I'm not sure if i understood - will there be a fourth season? They really should make it, it will be the content that keeps viewers subscribing to streaming. A movie should be about finding Grogus - and Yodas! - homeworld. It would be the smash hit if done right. And the last emotional scene when Grogu and Din say goodbye to each other, when Din heads to fight against Thrawn.

Mando season 4 should have happened 1st. And if not, then announce a triology, especially if it also wraps up Thrawn story. And I would love to see the Solo story wrapped up in a movie or TV show.

So now season 4 the finale and we not gonna get like 6 seasons because of the movie. Not complaining. But we were gonna originally gonna get 6 or eight seasons before they decided to make a movie. I will never be ready for this to end.

Way to play that toxic director down. "Bad words" they were meant to upset people. And then draw attention that a woman is directing Star Wars (Real fans dont give a crap who is directing, we want it to actually be good since the sequel trilogy was a disaster) plus it's too late to make Rey a good character.

As always, it comes down to the writing. As the saying goes, you can easily make a bad movie from a good script but, you can't make a good movie from a bad script. In a franchise as big and complex as Star Wars, the more that is written, the more cannon there is to keep track of. At some point, the storytelling becomes so penned in by cannon precedent, and so much of that world has been explored that it becomes harder and harder to write a good, fresh, compelling story set in that world. It happens to all of the major, multi-faceted franchises, be they books, comics, tv series or feature films. They simply just run out of gas.

I think Disney is interfering way to much and are just trying to crank out as much as they can as fast as they can just to make as much as they can without ANY concern about story lines. And they DEFINITELY don't give a dam about the true fans that love star wars and wanna see the best possible ideas. Episode 10 and or the New Jedi Order is a great idea. But an even better idea would be an origin movie about how the Jedi and Sith started then became enemies. I'm sure I'm not the first to suggest such a phenomenal idea. They should concentrate their efforts on a 3 episode movie about that. And have it introduce the prophecy of "the One to bring balance" at the end of the 3rd movie. They should also make a movie about Darth Plagueis book.

Well, in my opinion, the Mandalorian season three and the Mandalorian and Grogu movie I think we rushed. Partially because Pedro Pascal wanted out of his contract. This is why he prefers the last of us compared to the Mandalorian. Because in the last of us he gets paid the big bucks and he doesn’t have to wear an uncomfortable Star Wars suit.

Seems to be LucasFilms and Disney's habit lately to announce movies without any true script or even storyline. Would explain all the various movies announced, only to be subsequently cancelled. Think Iger is just riding the popularity of Mandolorian by announcing a full scale movie . I'm not sure Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni were even aware of Iger's plans. Jon was focused on S4, he announced it was written prior to the strike. Not sure I have much faith in this film which will probably over use CGI to compensate for the lack of a story.

This is really sad. I really liked The Mandalorian at first - unlike many, I find the "cannot show the face" challenge to be interesting, and am sorry that more don't follow that. That they only released a notification on the website is.... severely disappointing. It is far less than a promise, more like a possibility. I think a lot of interesting material exists on the reflowering Mandalor - that the planet is growing plants again, the mix of Children of the Watch with the other ones who take their helmets off... they could have Ezra Bridger come over and report to Bo Katan about Sabine Wren, and end up talking to the mythosaur. We don't need to hear anything more about project necromancer - it is a dead issue that should be left that way. And what about the 4-armed semi-sapient creatures? They are basic tool users. There is a lot that can be done so long as you don't feel that this story has to immediately connect with everything else that Disney has been doing with Star Wars, and I think that a lot of fans would be happy with something intensive rather than a "one with everything" routine. But what do I know, I'm just a fan.

For me it is a hard pass on anything with the STAR WARS titled in it any more. From 1977 it was something magical/special but now in 2024 it has just became a big pile of crap in a toilet bowl that need to be flushed...

I swear if the real Boba Fett does not show up in this (from the Mandalorian TV show), I will be finally done with Disney Star Wars. And I fully expect him to not be in there...because if Boba is done right, he will steal every single scene he is in. Disney can't let that old Lucasfilm dude do that. And yes, they managed that I fell out of love with Mando and Grogu by totally overdoing them.

I COMPLETELY DISAGREE!!! ALL Mando's acting, the moves and most actions, with exception of the voice has been done by Brandon Wayne. The other actors, the studio, directors, etc. KNOW THIS TO BE TRUE! Brandon DESERVES all the recognition, NOT Pedro. Pedro is a PRIMA DONNA, an arrogant ass, who's lucky Favreau gave him a chance. Personally his voice could be synthesized with AI and I wish they would, it would save them money. By your idiotic logic it's like saying James Earl Jones is Darth Vader, the voice yes, but NOT THE ACTOR OR PRESENCE. Physical presence/acting is essential, especially when the presence of a person's face doesn't imply the acting but the body language does and Brandon does that very well. Like many actors who've protrayed Vader (Rogue One). Pedro even admits he doesn't even know how to act in the armor and takes lessons from Brandon. When you're in the armor 90% of the time, and the fighting is dubbed by Lateef Crowder, the other stunt double...then Brandon Wayne IS THE Mandalorian NOT Pedro. Another reason why Disney Studio and fans insisted that they get star billing acknowledgements at the end of the third season because THEY'VE been doing most of the work!

The cinema is the wrong place for the Mandelorian tom continue. I have no issue with the characters being in a movie, but not with them as the main characters. That’s not Star Wars tradition, and it sits wrong. If they call it The Mandelorian and Grogu, then they’ve run out of ideas and need to sell the franchise to someon who knows how to run it. They need to focus on storylines and not one or two characters to rescue the reputation of Star Wars at the box office. Some things are better on Tv also, and I feel that the Mandelorian works better there, but they c a nurse the charcaters on a movie where they are just two of a many casted feature film.

They do this as a movie, and I don't watch it. Kind of tired of the random bad/ok/maybe good star wars productions and to take one of the few productions that was working on Disney+ and turn it into a movie to maximize profits is a turn off for me to bother with it. Same applies to most of the star wars universe.

If they made something like Star wars the old Republic trailers it would be a huge hit but no they cant ,the wokism must be pushed . Sorry but why pay to watch it over and over when you can get it on dvd and watch it as many times as you wish without paying a penny more than just what you pay for a dvd they own you and you can't see it come right for years a little classic T.V show and six classic movies called star trek tells everything that is happening in the present and what is yet to come soon there will be no jobs as A-I will have taken over no real food money will be gone they will take your will of won't and need away from you and they will control how and we're you spend your credits as they are taking your rights away from you all and you just can't see what is happening as your all red tinted glasses on with all the technology that they are giving you as it all starts with something small and before you know we're you are they have got you a slave under their control
