So, Seth Myers did a recent interview with Giancarlo Esposito, and of course, the topic of his role on The Mandalorian came up. Esposito had described how when he first saw Grogu/Baby Yoda on set, he had said, “This right here is the star of the show.” He had commented that he had wanted all his scenes with Baby Yoda. After seeing that interview and seeing Moff Gideon interact with Grogu, he looks like he’s having an absolute ball doing that scene.

Boba was supposed to be the mystery man in the original trilogy. Lucas was even going to shot him escaping the pit to add to his mystery but decided against it for some reason but we got this

I'd buy that toy" Lucas handled him badly cus Lucas' finger is so far off the pulse it's not even funny. That's why, after 20 years of listening to fans of the original trilogy, Lucas thought: "I know what they want! Jar-Jar Binks!" Lucas is not the way; THIS is the way.

The Gaffi stick Boba Fett wields looks alot like a Maori/Samoan war club. A Maori descendant (Temuera Morrison) showing how to kick butt with a native weapon...Excellent!

It's a sand person weapon. It's part of boba being in episode 1 watching and tracking his amour

@@chadjustice8560 Yes, it is a Sand Person weapon, first seen in EpIV, ANH, when Luke is getting knocked out cold. I thought it was an excellent callback to have his character use it. I also thought it was cool that the actor was using a weapon very similar to something his ancestors may have used. A great compliment.

If it's Vazquez Rocks, then probably. Its used as a set for many Sci Fi shows. Used quite frequently for Star Trek: The Original Series

Mando lost his ship, his rifle, and the child. Now we get to see the slave one and hopefully Mando got his jet pack. Also MG was watching Grogu use the dark force. Great episode waited all day for your reaction

They did something similar when the Razor Crest had that shabby repair, and had those green plates and fishnets. Or now, they're able to sell toys of Boba's ship, and later of mando's new ship. Disney makes tonnsss on toys, so, they're smart to do it.

I think it's setting up for Bo Katan and the other Mandalorians, Ahsoka and Cara Dune to all come together somehow and fight Moff Gidean and the Dark Troopers.

I agree that's what it would seem to be gearing us up for. Din is a Mandalorian, and Bo Katan is after the dark saber. I think Bo and Din may have gotten off to a rocky start, but at the end they had a understanding between them and that may lead to Din reaching out to other Mandalorians for help.

@@crf122 After Mando uses it to kick Gideon's ass. The weapon that saves Grogu becomes the helmet that protects him. That way his Dad will always be protecting him in a way even after he's gone.

With all due respect to the new trilogy, but could you imagine if Favreau and Filoni had been in charge of the new trilogy instead of Abrams. It's frustrating to think how brilliant that trilogy could have been in the proper hands.

Boba is technically Mandalorian since he was raised and trained by Jango who himself a foundling. Remember being Mandalorian is just as much a code / "way" as it is a culture or even race; thats why Baby Yoda will make a fine Mandalorian some day

I was right! Jango is a Mandalorian! Not only that, but fans translated some of the writing on Boba's wrist, which revealed was owned by a "Jaster" before Jango, which was his adopted father in EU.

George said that neither Jango or Boba are mandolaorians; but Jango, as a foundling of death watch would have taken the creed - taking off his helmet would mean he's not part of death watch. Boba, as an identical clone would only have the watch honor by choice, not necessity. Side note: I love how they nodded to episode 7 with the stormtroopers debarking the landers. Instant feels, lol

Boba Fett’s staff is actually a Gaffi Stick, a standard weapon of the Tusken Raiders. After Jabba’s palace blew up, it damaged the Sarlacc, causing the stomach Boba had fallen into to be ripped open. While he was unconscious, Tusken Raiders found him, and were in awe he had survived being eaten by a Sarlacc. I don’t know the specifics of when or how, but the Jawas had come across the injured Sarlacc at some point and looted the stomach, which a huge cache of weapons, armor, and other goodies. I think they saw Boba, thought he was dead, and stripped his body. But after the Tuskens found him, they took him in, healed him as best they could, then trained him in their ways. That is why he knows how to properly use a Gaffi Stick. The reason Boba’s face looks the way it does is because of the Sarlacc’s stomach acids that burned his skin.

One of my fav parts in this episode was Boba Fett. He definately did his character justice. And sticking to his word at the end shows he is part Mandalorian even if he never took the creed

Proof that Boba is a Mandalorian, as he is a man of his word. He said, "In exchange for the armor, I'll ensure the safety of the child and your own." In in his mind, since the child is not safe, the deal isn't done. That's why he's staying with Din Djarin.

Seeing little Bebeh Yoda with his little hands in shackles and hearing his little ragged breath, crushed me...the only anti-dote was angry, vengeful Boba dismantling the stormtroopers, Fennec aka Ming-Na survived...and Cara Dune is pissed off as well now that Grogu The Child was taken. Also RIP Razor Crest. Cool Dark Troopers. And how lucky are we to have a villain as good as Moff Gideon and a excellent actor like Giancarlo Esposito playing him?! Plus, hats off to Robert Rodriguez on this one!👍👍

This is the best account of how Boba escaped the Sarlacc, I found. I remember this from the books: "In the Legends books, though no longer officially Star Wars canon, Boba outsmarts the Sarlacc and triggers an explosion using his jetpack, allowing him to escape, though seriously injured."

According to the Mandalorian creed, Boba Fett kept his father's armor and used it. So this is saying that the armor is passed down, Boba is the son of a Mandalorian foundling, which makes him a Mandalorian Foundling because he was found by a Mandalorian.

Depends on who Jon and Dave think has a purpose in the story. Probably won't be Luke because they might want to avoid OT characters that will be difficult to recast. Might not be Ezra, since Dave will most likely save him for something else. Might not be Cal since his story is for the Fallen Order developers to decide. Could be a more obscure Jedi we forgot about, like Quinlan Vos. They might do the unexpected and bring back Mace Windu. Or it could be an entirely original character

When he fell into the Sarlak he used a thermal denatured and he climb out. He almost died after blowing up the Sarlak then he walked the desert where a blind man found him half dead. The blind man helped heal and when he got better he told the blind man that he is in his debt.
