Commentary is ok besides saying that Lucario and Luigi have similar aerial drift. Lucario is top 10 air speed; Luigi is bottom 2.

Okay, pause, I’m a hardcore Lucario main, and to have the confidence and familiarity with your Aura to do THIS!! (11:09) is insane! For non Lucario mains, Lucarios Up B, Extreme Speed, changes how far it goes based on your aura, and aura isn’t just affected by your damage, it’s also affected by whether or not you’re down on KO’s and a couple other things I can’t remember off the top of my head, but having that level of familiarity to do that in a tourney is crazy

Clash of Glass Cannons. One being relatively ineffectual at low percent, the other being garbage offstage.

Lucario isn't really glass, he's not as good at low percent but he's also not at risk of dying super early. Luigi has a crappy recovery and shaky neutral but an insane combo and punish game which is what makes him a glass cannon. TLDR: Lucario doesn't have enough weaknesses to be considered glass

I love how elegant uses the zair as a poking tool now. Almost like how zss uses zair. I never knew it was such a quick low damage poke tool. I will be sure to use that more later on. I used to only use it for cheesey gimps, but hey you gotta keep labbing with your character.

Bush Wookiee z-air is the z button (on the gc controller) used in the air links, zss, lucas, and samus have one just to name a few. Usually when they have a tether like grab they have a z-air

I believe the matchup is very hard for Luigi as Lucario can camp him for days. And Lucario is always in the air charging the aura sphere which means it's both almost impossible to for Luigi to get a grab AND Lucario can charge while running away. I'm impressed by how well Elegant did. Congrats to him

It's better than Samus, Wiifit, Mewtwo or any other zoner imo. Camping with aura sphere isn't effective until high percents since it'll barely do too much damage and won't KO for a long time along with aura sphere having more endlag than other charge shot projectiles. Even at max aura (190%) aura sphere'll still be weaker than Samus charge shot (33.1% to 33.6%)

Not the best matchup for Lucario, all he really has in the match is edgeguarding. Other than that, Luigi does damage in big chunks and then kills early, and he can afford to be patient against Lucario without rage. Both players are obviously great, but I feel Tsu would do a lot better against some of the other top players there than Elegant

tbh, i think if it werent for that misfire in this set, Tsu would have won, despite the bad MU. Tsu is just really good at bad MU because Lucario loses to like half the cast rofl

Um, he simply goes for a fair. He recovers by B-Reversing his up B. He also went for an up air from the ledge to hit Tsu, if that's what you're asking.

@@AngryBirdzMTheOneonlyreelkool thats not b reversing either, b reversing only happens for all other specials and some specials cant be b reversed, corrin side b for example. Up special can be directed left or right with a slight angle and will instantly change the character's direction

@@andre316030 Maybe they've tried that and jumping is the best way for them to fight since their aerial attacks are much better than their smash attacks and are harder to punish. Just know that whatever strategy you feel like they should be using, they've tried it already and it doesn't work.

Don't think he felt like he had the chance to, since he probably felt that all Elegant was doing was throwing out moves while slowly approaching And force palm grab is a bit slow as well as risky Maybe if Tsu used the blast itself as a zoning tool at high %, but I wouldn't know if it would work out well due to the lag it has as well as Luigi probably being able to cancel it out with his aerials

@@vantage4233 ^ Also force palm grab and most grabs like it (Cloud's, meta knight's, Sheik's,...) are very inconsistent in this game and don't connect due to body collisions 😔 If you miss it you have an FAF of 63
