Greeks will never forget those heros that fight like tigers in the most important battle that change the history of war in Crete.

Can you please tell me more about this? I’ve read and watched some videos, but I believe it’s best to hear from someone who grew up with stories of these brave men.

My dad and four uncles attended Crete. My dad said that the poor German parachutists all died. My dad said they had no choice but to kill them. The New Zealand men cried after they saw the German dead. Beautiful men, my dad said they were. My dad said he hated war. So do I.

Kia Kaha, our brave boys were happy to make the ultimate sacrifice for your whanau 😢 my great uncle fell at Tripoli, he never made it to Crete or home his remains still lay in a foreign country so far away, these brave men and boys were all volunteers and made their whanaus so proud.

My Lolo was there Kuru Waaka coporal in the 28th maori battalion from Whakarewarewa Rotorua. He came home from war and then battled for maori rights language and land against the crown until his death. I lived in his house when i was young and his library and storys were full of adventures and histroy he was a super hero in the flesh for me as a kid. To this day whenever i need strength in this world i go down to our family house named Tionga down whakarewarewa and feel that energy and mana with his blood in my viens. My kids carry the names Kuru and Tionga (2 brothers) and will carry that strength through their lives. They teach us to always fight if it means protecting your way of life fight all enemy fight the systems controling and stealing from us and fight against all things that take away your mana and leave you with nothing like the meth and alcohol destroying our people making them weak and useless in society..

@@robertwoodroffe123 yeah, but I'm not talking about quantum physics. I'm talking about how it hits you when the image is brought to life. I guess now you'll say "images are not alive", but I'm aware of that also.
