@@lettersofyesteryear Hey Faye! I just googled and it seems like the bag is only 0.85 ounces. I can say the bag itself is super duper light. The chain I think some people might say it’s heavy because it feels like the weight of real metal chains, because some “metal” chains are really light like plastic basically. I personally don’t think it’s heavy for metal, and leather bags at 1.5- 2lbs is usually heavy for me. But since you’re worried that it might hurt your shoulders, I think I might be more worried about the chain pressing against your shoulders, because even though the bags not heavy, if we do put a lot of stuff in the purse with one chain on your shoulder it could become uncomfortable. I haven’t felt it yet, but I think how it feels is very different for every person. if you really want to try it, maybe you can order one, try it and if it doesn’t work you could always return it? That’s another option :) hope that helps alittle! I wish I could let you hold it and try it xD

Hey Parichat! Yes, if you adjust the leather strap on the bag to its shortest, the height of the drop from the strap on your shoulder to the bag is 19.5 inches. If you measure the entire strap from end to end it’s about 42 inches. 19.5 isn’t exactly half of 42 because I’m measuring the height of the drop- the straps drop like a letter A when you wear it. And I’m measuring the top of the A (where it sits on the top of your shoulder) to the bottom of the A (where it hits the bag). Hope this helps a bit! :)

Also! I don’t know if it helps or not, but sometimes when leather straps are too long for me, I would buy a leather hole puncher from amazon and punch extra holes in the strap to make it even shorter. I got one that was 8-9 dollars, and its been pretty handy!

@@Msgoodpuppy247 Cool!! You're welcome! I'm curious, does it say 100% lamb leather on the sewn tags or just the booklet insert? I see a sewn white tag that reads 'new materials polyester fibres,' which presumably is for the liner. I see the paper booklet mentioning leather, but didn't see mention of leather elsewhere, such as on one side of the internal black sewn tag, as expected. I also couldn't find a serial number inside, although perhaps those are only inside the standard sized pillow bags...

@@cordija Hey there, I just checked my bag and mines say the same- the tags say “new materials only; content: polyester fibres”. I’m assuming it means the inner lining is polyester because it is a cloth like material, but the outside should be leather according to the description on their website and according to the care card. I do know that some contemporary brands don’t have serial numbers with their bags so it could be a normal thing (mines also didn’t have a serial number or anywhere on the tags that said leather), but I think if we email their customer service they should be able to tell us any other specifics too. But it sounds like my bag is exactly the same like what you just described :)

@@Msgoodpuppy247 Yes, I ended up emailing Nordstrom Rack and Marc Jacobs, and speaking briefly to a customer service rep at Marc Jacobs. (As Nordstrom Rack is a verified distributor of MJ stuff or the etc., MJ customer service will actually engage with you.) All confirmed there is no serial number in this particular bag. Based on info available, the exterior should be lambskin leather. The rep at MJ was a little surprised about the black interior tag not having 'leather' written on it, but really couldn't say why or why not for this specific item. She thought as everything they create IS leather, maybe it's just assumed for the exterior...but 'polyester fibres' was written on the white tag for the liner. Ultimately, MJ said everything Nordstrom Rack gets is directly from MJ warehouses etc....so it's a pretty safe bet it's the real deal. SO, haha....I am now 99% satisfied....but really wanted to check given it's still a lot of money, even at a NR...and I wanted to know that it is a genuine product. I do still think that black tag is a little odd, but will live ;-) ...and it is a really cute bag!

@@cordija loll glad ur 99% satisfied! Yeah it is a lot of money, but I do believe nordstromrack is trustworthy, at least for me, so far everything I’ve gotten from them is authentic. I think it also depends on how well the reps are trained too. They might know a bulk of the information but might not know 100% about every bag. I think you’re okay! Usually Nordstromrack, Saks off fifth, saks fifth Avenue, and Nordstrom should have some security in place to know where they’re getting their items from and it shouldn’t be a random place. Asking different reps to hear everyone’s opinions might be a good idea too. Thanks for updating me on this! And I know more about my bag now 😂
