For five years I volunteered daily, rehabilitating harbor seals, elephant seals, and Northern fur seals at FreeFlight in Bandon, Oregon. Those years were the high point of my life. This video so moves me because I know the endless hours of dedicated and often heartbreaking work behind those joyous releases. Thank you so much for the difficult and loving work you do to save these ensouled children of the sea and give them back to her whole and free.

@AngeLsLuv The "party hats" are temporary and will fall off at their next molt if not before. It helps identify the animals and track them. I think those are just numbers that can be observed from a distance. Sometimes actual radio tracking devices are used to track how deep the former patients are diving and chart their swimming patterns.

I was afraid that they were implanted into the animal's skull. So that's good to know.
