I leaves me sad every time I remember both my parents were killed on the same day. But this old man here taught that they needed each other more so they had to leave at the same time. It’s hard for me and my siblings but I wonder how much harder it would have been for them if one of them was till alive. Mom and dad had a Romeo and Julliet Titanic-ish love story❤. May their forever beloved souls rest in peace 🙏

I watched this after Pete "n" Tillie also with Walter Matthau and Carol Burnett, probably a movie made in the 70's. I got separated from my partner, the father of my 3 children after 35 years. The Marriage Fool made me cry realizing how sad I am. I want to have that love, respect and humor that Frank and Florence have. I'm 59 and flabby and men nowadays are more into younger women. It's almost impossible to find a Frank and Florence love story in today's time. I know that I never shared what true love is with him. Now that I think of it, I feel like those 35 years were just a test of patience and endurance mostly for my children's sake. I hope to feel what true love is in my lifetime.

Two of my favorite actors, Mathau and Carol Burnett! Odd seeing her play a serious role, she's wonderful. I'm glad I came across this movie. I'm going to watch it with my son. It was sweet 😋

Great story of how family's are. And how family's pan out. As you notice the only regular visiting son, is single. As the saying goes. When you have a daughter, you have a daughter for life. When you have a son. You have a son until he takes a wife. As seen in this entertaining look at life, as we know come to know it.
