Back when they starting getting some popularity in earlier 2000s my friend begged me to check them out. He kept saying the drummer will blow your mind. I was in to a lot of stoner rock at the time, more chill stuff. I saw this show was coming on tv so DVR it and when I finally brought myself to watch it I was pissed at myself for holding out so long on them. Immediately I became obsessed and still love and admire their style today.

I was lucky enough to catch them at Fillmore in Miami Beach with my son, feels like about 10 years ago and I was going pretty nuts in the pit. I didn't follow them closely enough to know if this is the complete original line-up (obviously the guitarist and singer are) but this band has always been incredibly special, gifted and unique. I think they may always go under the radar for the masses of rock fans because they are just levels and levels above what most people are willing to try to wrap their heads around but I, for one, have a tremendous respect for them playing to their potential rather than dumbing it down for the masses and commercial success.
