Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on KZfaq, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on KZfaq. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on KZfaq, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

Hi Tommy Caldwell the bass player passed away on this date in 1980 … toy Caldwell the guitar player passed away in 1992 … I was lucky to meet them in 1973 walking out of Central Park…

Saw these guys open for the Guess Who in 1974. Nobody had even heard of them but after THREE encores we never forgot them and cleaned out the record store of their first lp after the show. Honestly, they blew the Guess Who away but to the GW credit they let them play all three encores which is pretty rare for a virtually unknown opening act. Toy(lead guitar) and his brother Tommy(bass) were the leaders but the unsung hero of this band was Jerry Eubanks on sax and flute. Their music is a combination rock, country, and jazz and was one of the most unique Southern Rock bands around. I loved these guys and there isn't a day that goes by I don't play their music. Thank you whoever ponied up for these hof'ers(im my eyes anyway). Ya picked a good one but this just scratches the surface RIP Toy, Tommy, George McCorkle, and Paul Riddle.

Marshall Tucker was part of the Capricorn Records family along with the Allman Brothers, Wet Willie, Elvin Bishop and others. The Record Label that launched Southern Rock.

I have not heard this in probably 40 years. Forget how good. Saw them live late seventies or early eighties at Alpine Valley in Wisconsin.

We drove up from Chicago to see them there!! But we had seen them before, we just enjoyed them so much that that wasn't the last time we saw them! My ex became addicted to them and would see them around the Chicago area into the 90s!

Can't beat Marshall Tucker for giving you such a great feeling. Check out Ride like The Wind. Blackberry Smoke did an amazing job with their take on this song. ❤

“Take The Highway” flute and guitar solos use these instruments to add a layer of emotion and depth to the song, evoking a sense of wanderlust and adventure. The sounds capture the universal theme of longing for freedom and the courage to embark on a new journey with a touch of melancholy sadness. But life choices always have a price. Great song and fantastic commentary. These were the golden days of Southern Rock.

Loooooong time ago, hopped on a bus in NYC to Saratoga. Pouring rain until we got there and the sun broke came out, just in time to see them warm up for the Allman Brothers Band.

So much tragedy in the history of Southern Rock. When we were still suffering from the loss of Duane Allman, and Ronnie van Zant this band came along, and picked our spirits up. We were riding high again. Think it was 1979 when Marshall Tucker was nominated for best country instrumental of the year for the Long Hard Ride, and got beat by Chet Atkins. Conventional wisdom in the industry was that MT was a young group that had a long career ahead of them, and there would be many more opportunities for them to come. A year later Tommy Caldwell tragically died after accidentally overturning his jeep. The band really never seemed to recover. Southern Rock is a tale of triumph and tragedy.

Long Hard Ride was released June 1976 so that year was probably the year it was nominated.

@@plantfeeder6677 You're right. I went to that concert. It was one of the best shows I ever saw. The cover art with the stage coach was projected onto a screen with a rear screen projector. Toy Caldwell walked out playing that fantastic baseline. All you could see was his silhouette against the screen. Each band member entered the same way with Toy stepping out in front last before they turned up the lights enough where you could clearly see all the boys in front of you. Greatest entrance I've ever seen. One of the greatest concerts I ever attended. Words could not do that show justice. You truly had to be there.

Great Band! Southern Rock/Jazz Fusion like nobody saw before. One of only three groups to successfully incorporate a flute into pop/rock music - Jethro Tull (obviously an influence on MTB) and The Moody Blues being the other two. Saw them Live once - they were one of the tightest groups ever. I'll suggest the title track/track #1 Side One from their 2nd album A NEW LIFE, and track #3 Side Two, 24 HOURS AT A TIME.
