I was at Foxwoods recently but the museum happened to be closed. My family used to take me here when I was younger, and I can't stop thinking about it recently. I feel very strongly about this. I'm grateful for this video, it is exactly was I was looking for.

I am learning so much about all Nations and love it. The more I learn the more I am so proud to have Native blood. My great grandmother was Cherokee.

I grew up in Ledyard, CT and had many peers in school who were members of the Mashantucket Tribe. It's a proud and interesting history and a story that's much untold compared to other Native American stories you see in movies. Glad that this story is being told. And not just the Mashantucket but all the tribes that lived in New England. We got a taste of it (Northeast Native American stories) in Last of the Mohicans (and other films that focused on Iroquois and Huron tribes) but there's many more stories that can and should be told of the New England and Long Island tribes. Sometimes people criticize these folks for staring a casino and making money and gaining success and sustainability for their people, but it's their right to do so enshrined by treaties. So good for them.

They spared no expense for this museum and I don’t think there’s anything like it in all of the Americas and it’s a must visit place for all Americans.

I heard it's not even representative of the Mashantucket Pequot tribe, but northeastern woodland Indian tribes. The author of the book "Hitting the Jackpot" said there isn't even much Mashantucket Pequot artifacts displayed.
