I can't believe the Mask in this story was wearing Sailor Moon's Costume, I can only imagine that She stole Sailor Moon's costume while the Anime was still going on, and Sailor Moon must be all naked in Tokyo, This is Awesome and weird at the same time, Sometimes Dark Horse Comics, You are amazing.

Holy shit, this story is severely underrated! Out of all the Comic issues, this is the one that's perfect for a movie adaptation. There is a continuity error though, The Mask's magic should've completely healed his hands.

That's right. Kellaway's arm, after taking of the Mask, was restored. Still, a story like this deserve a great adaptation.

Let's get technical with the sailor moon reference. Even though Sailor moon was in its 4th season around the time this was published, it started to air in America a month prior to the publication of this comic. Either the creators knew about the series for a long time before that or they decided to add it as an obscure reference that would go over many people's heads.

Well, the writer is Evan Dorkin who is a huge nerd. So I'd say it's likely he was going for references that only people who know nerd culture would catch at the time.

While it's zany it really hits the dark tones well. I like the different direction this one went in. I do miss seeing the graphic violence though lol

I love Masked Emily and her dad Masked Ray a lot, as Masked Emily sees her dad is in trouble and saves him from trouble by freeing him with scissors along with Kellaway, then beats all those gangs up by using her creative mind and her powers and abilities to defeat them with, then takes her face off to save her dad from being killed by Axel and the remaining members of his gang, and Masked Ray takes care of him and his gang, but leaves them alive, and when Axel uses a lighter to torch up the oil barrels, Masked Ray grabs his daughter and after seeing a dead end, uses his quick thinking by putting his daughter inside his mouth literally, knowing she will be safe inside as he is immune to everything, then takes his face off after hearing Emily begging to have her dad back, which he does, showing unlike most mask personas and like Masked Emily, he has a good heart, and like The Mask from the film and the cartoon along with Eve, Masked Peggy and Masked Eric from the comics, he and Masked Emily actually care about keeping innocent people safe, and protect them as well.

And what's wrong with Hollywood fake? Sure it takes a long time for animation works and special-effects make up. But they pull off some pretty bad ass movies. Especially the ones we got this year like Deadpool. Not like that cheesy movie animation stuff from Syfy channel.

Chucky Quite possibly an ironic inspiration for the heroic Mask in the movie and animated series for being a suave, zoot suit wearing, vigilante (that is until the Kellaway from the comics went out of hand).
