The Master Budget

This video describes the master budget, a series of interrelated budgets that set the course for an organization's sales, production, and financial goals. Beginning with the sales budget, each budget is briefly explained and the interrelationships among the various budgets are highlighted as well. The process ultimately yields a cash budget, budgeted income statement, and budgeted balance sheet.

In our univeristy course, we have revenue budget instead of sales budget and budgeted profit statement instead of income statement. Are they synonyms or do they have different meanings?
