Lots of examples of solving quadratic equations by completing the square! Includes harder examples such as when there is a number in front of the x squared.

In the last example, the answer should be 0.5 and 3, because it is 1.75-(-1.25)=3...we have two negatives

I had the same problem since mine is a scientific calculator for newer model so first do 5/4 plus 1 which you should get a mixed number and converting it to a improper fraction you should get 9/4 ... then square root 9/4 first then add by 1 .. which you should get 2.5 for the negative one place - before square root and same applies here add 5/4 plus 1 which you should get 9/4 but it will be - square root of 9/4 which you should get -1.5 then add 1 to get -0.5 as the second answer .. hope that helps >

She used a calculator to get the positive and negative square root of 3/2+25/15 minus the 5/4.

As someone who finished their GCSEs last year and now is doing maths and further maths A level, this is indeed part of GCSE, but it's a grade 7-9 sort of topic
