The Matrix was one of the most influential movies ever to hit the sci-fi and action genres. Watching Neo, Trinity, Morpheus and the gang do crazy bullet time martial arts just completely changed the game forever. But even though the Keanu Reeves-led Wachowski project was revolutionary, it still raised a lot of questions. Like what’s up with the Agents not using their powers until we know about them? Why didn’t they actually use any of their tracking tactics? Why are the machines using humans as batteries? What’s up with all the LEATHER?
To answer all these questions and more, step inside the pitch meeting that led to The Matrix! It’s super easy, barely an inconvenience!

Nah mate, they explain that. Basically it's they say "without the mind, the body dies". Which is why people can die in the matrix and also why people need to be in the matrix in the first place. Coma patients barely have any bodily activity. The bodies of people who are in the Matrix are pretty dang active. They show that in that movie too. Sometimes these pitch meetings bend the truth a little bit to create a good laugh, which is definitely fair enough.

Wow! So the genius of your shtick is that it’s done in such a way that even when you expose plot holes and inconsistencies with a movie a love, I am amused and entertained and not offended. You found a way to permit me to continue to love AND simultaneously laugh at what I love. And by extension love you and love your reviews. Furthermore, I think the magic lies in the lack of malicious intent. It’s wry humor that laughs with and not at the subject matter. You are fantastic. Thank you for doing what you do. P.s you also ate great at closing the deal… always great, great endings.
