To my surprise my sister chose this song to play at her funeral.. When I let her hear it, she said : "I can do something with it, my funeral will be a party".. And so it went ! I couldn't help my feet and my voice... And now, when I hear this song, I think of her and about the joy she brought me..

Over twenty years ago when this song came out when I drove mum and I into our local town central carpark this song came on the car radio. That was it time to pump up the volume, and we danced in the carpark to this song to the amusement and smiles from other shoppers lol 😂 Mum was a good dancer and taught me, and we danced well that afternoon. A great memory to have of my mum.

I went to see The Mavericks when they first performed in the UK many, many years ago. It was at the 'students Union' Manchester. Was like a private show just for us, only 100 people max. The guys even had to pack away their own gear after the gig and that's when I got the drum sticks they used for the show signed by all the band and a plectrum. Happy days :)

i cried today and said out loud, thank you jesus for blessing them. i hear other singers or bands singing when they are decades older and think to myself, "it's a good thing they took their chance when they were young because they don't sound so hot today as they did back in the day" but not these guys... amazing how awesome they still sound after all these years. Heard the Mavericks on cd back in 1997 on a tin can two in one stereo. The beat, pipes, rhythm and lyrics just penetrated my soul. 24 years hence iam listening to them on boutique $$$$$$ reference audio gear in my recording / mastering studio on amps.the size of Mini Coopers & 15 inch cathedral sized speakers. Damn !! My mouth just drops and I can't sit still. Gotta dance !! . The studio mix by the studio tech and Mavericks are just mind blowing ! The pain,efforts sleepless nights, and technical supremacy these poeple must put in to get this awesome rhythm and music going is mind blowing! Great job mate... Made only in America !!
