“I don’t like new guitars, but out of the box, this is absolutely perfect. All the stuff on a new guitar that I always have to try to fix, is already done here. Out of the box. Thank you, Paul.” - Joe Walsh
The McCarty family of guitars is born from passion and precision: built passionately to embody vintage soul and appointments while utilizing the precision of PRS’s modern manufacturing techniques, so you can have the best guitar we can make right out of the box. Featuring a bound, 22-fret, 24.594” scale length Pattern Vintage neck and a slightly thicker back for enhanced tone and sustain, the McCarty 594 Singlecut has been meticulously spec’d. This Joe Walsh Limited Edition builds on these specifications, adding a Brazilian rosewood fretboard with stainless steel frets to deliver incredible playability and soulful, vintage tone. Additional personalized appointments include Paul Reed Smith’s handwritten signature on the front of the headstock, and Joe Walsh’s signature on the backplate of each guitar.
The McCarty 594 Singlecut Joe Walsh Limited Edition features PRS 58/15 LT+ pickups, which offer exceptional clarity, focused midrange, and vintage character. Whether you are looking for rich, authentic humbucking tones or nuanced, sweet single-coil sounds, the McCarty 594 Singlecut can seamlessly master both sonic territories thanks to these pickups and push/pull coil taps on the tone controls. This electronics layout, a few key specifications, and PRS craftsmanship combine in the McCarty 594 Singlecut Joe Walsh Limited Edition to create an instrument that plays in tune, is intonated the entire length of the neck, and feels like a guitar that you’ve been playing forever.
“Joe’s endorsement of the McCarty 594 Singlecut Joe Walsh Limited Edition means the world to me. We work very hard to keep pushing the guitar-making craft forward without losing sight of its rich history. The McCarty models have always embodied that, and to have a player like Joe Walsh say we’ve nailed it is heartwarming,” said Paul Reed Smith.

As he was noodling, you can hear a bunch of his old songs. James Gang and solo. He really attacks the strings in a unique way and tunes that amp perfectly to get his tone. I forgot how much he influenced me over the decades. He is one of the couple of handfuls of guys that you know it's him playing. You could be blindfolded and still know.

And alot of BOOMER GEEZER guitar players have to play DRY and LOUD to HEAR ANYTHING ! Horrible DRY and LOUD ! Eric Clapton has the same problem as do Pete Townsend and Jimmy Page. The ONLY player with good hearing from those days is Jeff Beck who religiously turns his bass EQ to ZERO on his amps especially the LOUDER he plays ! Lots of players confuse LOUD with BASS and ruin their and their audiences HEARING !

I agree- dont want to dis the guitar right off the bat-but it didnt sound like joe-and had to wonder if the amp was the issue.

I love Les Paul guitars. I always have. I bought a new McCarty 594 SC at the end of last year, (from Casino Guitars!), and as soon as I felt the weight in my hands, and I started playing it, my first thought was, “This is what a Les Paul should be like!” The 58/15 LT humbuckers in it sound great. That is the highest praise that I can give a guitar.

A fantastic presentation by the man himself. I don't know that I've ever listened to a more knowledgeable guitarist ever. Joe has had his ups and downs but he is a true survivor. He's accomplished so much with so many people. Alive or dead, Joe will always live in our hearts and in our memories as one of the greatest guitarist that ever walked the walk. Love you Joe!

@@kommi1974 that he (unfairly) doesn’t get spoken in the circles of Page, Clapton, Hendrix, Beck, Eddie, Duane, Brian May, Gilmore, even Keef.... plenty of music “fans” would be hard pressed to mention Joe in their top 10. I think he’s overlooked - often.

Wow just wow. PRS have always Been and always will be Gibsons and Fenders biggest Competition. I love Gibson les paul especially the new 59 they have made. My big complaint with les paul would be tuning issues, Iv never played a vintage 59 Gibson les paul, but I most certainly take Joe Walsh knowledge on it. This PRS sounds amazing. I would really like to get my hands on one and rock out.
