They cut the availability in half this wipe. It used to be 180 per reset. Every new piece of becomes available quickly ind for cheap for testing purposes. If it's in the meta, it gets used a lot and tested for bugs. Once that's done, it becomes a lot less available. A story as old as time

I find it too easy to get 40+ pen ammo though, so no need to worry about hitting those soft spots. It feels much better when you move up a tier.

@@wurfyy nooope Giga even called it, its like a jumped up sub machine gun and when you used it like one it was always sick AF except it could still punch a clean headshot at 100 meters. Especially back then when the top ammo was so easy to get this thing was a budget HK, melted people in CQB like no other.

you could do quests all the time but I understand that it's your first real wipe Questing in tarkov is very important (even more than having 35 mil cash) because it gives you access to ammo and attachments / guns. They also give you lots of XP. With 700 raids you could easily be lvl 50+ at this point if you had continously quested. No worries though - with your big bank account you'll be able to buy at least class 4 kits all the time from the flea and build good guns with decent ammo. I'd recommend using some of the Western assault rifles and SMGs since they are generally more effective in CQB and that's where most of the fights happen. Guns like the M4, G36, HK416, MCX are very good for playing aggressive and that's what you should aiming for to improve your pvp skills (I assume you haven't had much pvp yet) Since you already invested a lot of time try to upgrade your hideout as quickly as possible (you'll need trader rep for some of them) so you can start crafting lots of ammo. Actually you're right I've only ever used the long barrel because the short doesn't seem to be useful at all... The KAC suppressor I normally use but the SRDN is quieter and less burn if that interests you. The KAC attachment also gives you a very small MOA boost iirc

even though it has high horizontal recoil I think it is perfectly fine up until 50m to mag dump it In my book that's enough to win every fight in which you'd even attempt to mag dump It needs to be set to single fire for further engagements though but I think that people who run this gun will know how to flip the switch. The mcx is a hk416 competitor and should be treated as such. If you don't like the hk416 this gun is not for you

Don't try to apply logic to Tarkov's modding. It's purely based on the rule of cool and Nikita's (broken) sense of aesthetics. I mean, good luck explaining why all the ugly-ass skeletonized trash that no one would choose as the most comfortable option irl has amazing stats in game. Or why the Zhukov stock on the AK has both better recoil and ergo than the Kocherga, when irl the Kocherga would bring the stock much more in line with the bore than the Zhukov, implying that it ought to reduce the amount by which the weapon pulls upwards with each shot. I've tried the Hera Arms crap on an airsoft rifle and it was the least comfortable thing I've ever held, and yet in Tarkov it has good stats. Or hey, how about the way foregrips work? I've tried both the Magpul RVG and the KAC VPG on two different rifles (a military issue G3 variant and my own Sig 516) and for me personally there is absolutely no meaningful difference whatsoever until I shoot from prone, at which point the KAC can be used as a monopod whereas the RVG is too short for that, making the KAC objectively better. But hey, the RVG is objectively better ingame. Oh, I also have the Strike Industries Cobra, which I find completely useless for my purposes. I could see it being good on a CQB rifle for someone who doesn't like foregrips normally, just mount it close to the end of the rail so you can lean on it when shooting from some types of cover, for instance. Very niche use case. And yet, in Tarkov it's objectively way better than the KAC and often preferable to the Magpul, too. Hell, while we're at it, the B5 SOPMOD stock is one of the most popular ones in reality, because it's very good. Now give me one reason to ever use it in Tarkov. I bet when they add the M-16 stock eventually, it'll be trash. Meanwhile I really want to replace the telescoping stock on my Sig with that thing because it's actually not one bit worse, I have no need for the telescoping functionality, and I like the clean look of the M-16 stock. Edit: Forgot one of the most egregious ones. In reality the Magpul CTR is just a Magpul MOE stock with an extra friction lock that fixes it to the buffer tube and prevents any slop. The CTR is simply objectively a better stock than the MOE. And yet in game, once you add the rubber pad to the MOE (which is included in the CTR model by default and you can't remove it), the MOE has better stats. The modding in general provides far more effect than it does in reality. It's just there to provide gear progression as you level up, since at the end of the day Tarkov is an RPG. Don't take it too seriously.

Do more questing

You need to do multiple quests at once on maps. Use the wiki to know what to do in them. Also do the dailies and try to refresh them when they're bad (be careful lf the reputation hit). You can easily do 3 - 4 quests per raid until level 45-50, avoid fights if you die often.
