You need to adjust the primer drop tube so that the primer drops directly in the hull turret plate. What I’m seeing is the primer is hitting the edge and then falling into the plate. The way it is running now it will allow primers to flip over and then be jammed into the hull backwards if you’re not paying attention. One of the close up scenes shows this exact scenario.

The primer drop is everything, especially on Graber.

Once the machine is dialed in it loads nice shells. The biggest advantage in my opinion is not having to crank the handle down, instead you press a peddle. Think about it, if you load 500 shells on the 9000G your pulling that handle 500 times which can cause some stress on your back, shoulder and shoulder blade. There are two significant disadvantages to the 9000H. The first is noise! If you’re in a small room the noise can be deafening. Secondly, the 9000H is solely dependent on the hydraulic to work the action and turn the turret so your productivity is dependent on the speed of the hydraulic. I can load 500 shells on my 9000G in 55 minutes and that includes replenishing Primers, Powder and shot. A 9000H will take you an hour and twenty-five minutes. As mentioned above, for those who cannot handle the stress of pulling the handle down due to physical ailment the 9000H is worth the investment.

I have a Mec Hustler samething wo/auto indexing the pump and loader are very quiet! Not at all deafening!!

Wrong you can load 20 shells in 1 minute on a 9000H what is 1200 shell per hour but not to get too carried away with our selfs lets just call it 1000 shells per hour. Yes you can load 500 shells per hour on a 9000G but you would be hard press to pull that off your arm and lower back would be killing you! 9000 H is worth the investment if you want to save your shoulders and lower back push it takes half the time to do twice the work !

Good question Sheila. No, the machine doesn't stop when something goes wrong like an upside down primer. It's up to the operator to watch for any abnormalities. In this case, I saw the primer flip and land upside down and I corrected the problem before proceeding.

nice machine very impressed. I am most impressed that the primer drop works so well, on paper I would have thought it would tip many primers.
@Rlopezinc6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, sometimes it does flip them, you just have to keep an eye on things.

Pretty hard to believe such a complex and integrate machine exists for the price. Capitalism!

I load with the Grabber which let's me "feel" if there is a hang-up or jam in the mechanism. If I feel something when depressing the handle, I can stop, raise the handle and check it out. My concern with a powered machine such as this is that you lose that feel. Does the machine limit the pressure exerted in order to prevent damage to the press? I'm expressing total ignorance in the operation of the hydraulics in this case. One of the big advantages I see in this case is due to the operation, your loads should be very consistant.

so what happens when primer comes out upside down?
@marcod38718 жыл бұрын
how often do you get upside down primers. at 3:14 it dropped a primer upside-down.
@Rlopezinc8 жыл бұрын
+Marco D Not very often. I could probably adjust the drop tube a little better to eliminate this problem, but keeping a close eye on things is a must anyway.

I have the manual 9000 and when I first set it up I had an issue with the primer dropping on its side or upside down. If you adjust the arm in the back that actually drops the primer(adjust it to drop it at the end of the stroke) it will drop it right side up every time. I see this video is a few years old so I imagine you made that adjustment already.
@Rlopezinc7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it needs adjusting.

at 3:13 the primer went in upside down does that stop the machine or cause powder to drop? does the mec drop powder if the primer does not seat? would you recommend the 9000? i have an older grabber type and was thinking of upgrading.
@Rlopezinc8 жыл бұрын
+Sheila Hagen No, you have to keep an eye on all the process to make sure they are functioning properly. Powder drops whether the primer is upside down or fails to drop. Yes, I highly recommend this machine.
@melissaanddoughank5327 жыл бұрын
pretty neat feature that it DOES have is it wont drop the powder unless there is a hull in station 2. Any time I spilled powder or shot, it was my own fault. Just gotta pay attention to what's happening...or not happening. Great machine!

So... The machine does the easy part, and does it fairly slowly, and you still do the tedious part. What an incredible waste of money!
