They're definitely one of them. Faith No More is in there as well. I'd have to also say Metallica during the 80's. They were one FIRE!!!! They're still good, but nothing close.

I remeber seeing the Melvins play here in Vancouver BC ( Can. ) in the mid 80's at a Boozecan called Luxury Bobs .. it was at the peak of the fast 1234 hardcore punk era & seeing & hearing these guys play so brutally loud + sooo slow and Heavy was both Amazing + quite frightening ! They looked so intense & kinda' inbred it freaked the shit outta' my 15y/old mind ! Some of the stops btwn chords in their songs seemed infinite & the anticipation of the next barrage of sound was exhilarating ! Sadly to me , their albums Never did them justice so I lost interest ... BUT I'll Never forget that show !!

I actually like this performance better than the other two (on JamInTheVan). This has a garage punk element to it - short & fast with the screams. The other two songs are more like heavy metal. Just my own personal taste....
