The Coneheads and Snapdragon would end up joining the Decepticons. Doubledealer would end up becoming a mercenary double agent for both Autobots and Decepticons.

These mercenaries have 3 different leaders of note depending on the incarnation. Lockdown, who I love. Soundblaster, which is also cool. And Doubledealer who makes the most sense having a history of playing both sides. I love them all but only one can lead. Lockdown, who can also work as a solo bounty hunter, should be the head. Soundblaster his second in command. And Doubledealer his spy playing both Bots and Cons. Serving a similar role of Animated Shockwave.

Eventhough they were more Mercenaries on the show, Hasbro only sells Bug Bite and Exhaust as Mercenaries the others are sold as Decepticons or Autobot/Decepticon.

The mercenary are all back together also quintesson: "we cannot a bites heroics." doubledealer: *signs* "there are no heroes on this ship." Jake foushee/Optimus prime/the original 13th prime: "that symbols were you wearing...you are the mercenary factions." Doubledealer: *chuckles* "there are no factions out here."

The Mercenaries, a group of cybertronians who are neither Autobot or Decepticon faction. They would work for either Autobot or Decepticon, depending on whoever pays them more. Doubledealer- leader of this group and very first Mercenary in Transformers lore. Exhaust- skilled in cooperate espionage. Bugbite- former GoBot. Coneheads- Ramjet, Dirge and Thrust.
