Couldn't you have save yourself a stop by going to St Michaels after Rice Lane? as that'd count for ST rather than just S that Sandhill gets you (which you can use for the S at the end). Happy Holiday Nick, very fun challenged None the less.

You could've done on the Christmas the stm by going to St Michaels instead of Sandhills, Town Green and Maghull North

The two letters thing is a bit of a cheat I think. Not sure if there is anywhere on merseyrail network that begins with an I unless someone can correct me. Edit Upon studying a network map, Ince and Thornton 'could' be a candidate if the line between Ellesmere Port and Helsby were to be subsumed into the Merseyrail network which given the new trains that are being introduced andnthe state of flux that the National Network is under, could be a possibility in the next ten years depending on commuting habits although gaps amongst the inner section of the network need to be filled first.
