Welcome to the official KZfaq channel of Nikol Johnson!💄
My Channel empowers women to show up and be BOLD, FIERCE, and Unapologetic. I talk a lot about this in my book Beauty Reinvented, available through Amazon! It's not just about going gray young; it's about a powerful movement for women to break out and have NO BEAUTY RULES.
➡️ None of what I show on this channel is what “mainstream” KZfaq makeup tutorials will show you. Instead of telling you to put loads of makeup on (which makes you look like a different person), I want to show you how to “reveal” the beauty that you already have and teach you how to look GREAT while still looking like yourself.
Many women feel that their beauty and radiance diminish as the years go by. I don’t believe this. You can stay beautiful, confident, and fabulous even if you’re past 40, 70, 80, or 100 years of age.
➡️ No matter your background or age, my goal is to help you on your journey. Whether through make-up/skin-care tutorials, product reviews, or health/wellness advice. I want to empower (and teach) women to show up, be BOLD, FIERCE, and unapologetic.
Are you ready to embrace your authentic self- and start making YOUR OWN BEAUTY RULES? Subscribe to my channel NOW! 🔔
📆 I am so happy to see you each week on Mondays and Thursdays at 10 AM EST.

Nikol, you are so kind and beautiful both outside and inside. Unfortunately I have to use supplemental oxygen 24/7 and when it first happened I sunk in despair. But over time and actually from watching you and learning from you you, I now try most days to get up and show up.,meaning I put makeup on too! I am still alive and want to live life joyfully and makeup does help.Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

WOW, the color of your outfit versus hair is stunning! At 64 I have learned not to sweat the small stuff. I’m retired now for almost 3 years & get to live my life my way. No more meetings, planning, dressing for success, customer focus groups or multitasking. I get to MONOtask, wear leggings everyday, not put on makeup for days, eat when & what I want, listen to music as loud as I want and my husband still loves me changes and all. You know you more than any of us so take care & we appreciate you!

That's the reason I became a subscriber because of your vunerability and authenticity. That is very rare on social media. You are brave to put yourself out there like that and I really admire your strength. As for anyone who takes cheap shots at you because that's what they are.:those individuals need to take a long hard look at themselves in the mirror. I like the fact that you don't let it stop you. Evenyone isnt going to like you. THat's life you know it and you continue to give your best in every upload. as you should. Its not easy as a woman who has a successfull biz and is trying to maintain herself her partner and family and trying to juggle it all. There are a lot of wounded people out here and the best thing you can do is keep shining and setting a good example which you do. None of us are perfect. You're a class act Nikol and you have a beautiful spirit..Love & Light.

The best lesson I ever learned, was how do you say …Thank You, but I’m already committed to… Another dinner, party, or shopping expedition, or weekend away, NO. .. is a very hard word to learn …how not to spread yourself so thin, then you find yourself doing things , you’re not enjoying any longer ….just to please other people.

I have pain in my hands. I was a secretary for a number of years. I found gloves on Amazon that have copper in them and I wear them to bed and, if I'm having a hard day with my hands, during the day. They have helped me tremendously. I think you are wonderful. You help all of us women feel good about where we are in life. I'm 53 and its refreshing to see beauty geared toward us as we gracefully age. You have made me more comfortable in my 53 year old skin. I am so glad that i found your channel several months ago. I even started wearing Nikol Beauty (it's magnificent). Please keep being yourself. There's nothing more beautiful than that.

I, too, have copper infused wrist cuffs. They also came with the fingerless gloves. I put the gloves on, then the cuffs. I found that they work best for carpal tunnel with one downside...my fingers above where the 'glove' cuts off always swell. But so far, I find them to work the best for carpal tunnel.

Hello, on carpal tunnel, get it checked / investigated again, I was told i had it 7-8 years ago by 2 different doctors, pins & needles, pain numbness, no strength in hands, dropping things, a third doc actually checked me out thoroughly, due to one missing thing she said I couldn't have carpal tunnel, she told me to have a session with a sports injury person for trapped nerves in neck, I work at a computer all day, , I had one session over a year ago, which was pressing on points in shoulders and upper back & stretches to do myself at home, i have very little to no trouble now, a year later. Its well worth a shot....& I hope it helps. I love your channel, your honesty, you are very inspiring Tish x

There are not enough women with the courage to make themselves so vulnerable. So much of what we face in life is about overcoming adversity. You show up and it gives me, at least, the courage to show up as well. The last two years have been the most difficult of my life. Lost my husband to suicide and our daughter the same way and then our beautiful 24 yr old granddaughter to aortic valve failure. When something that is broken mends, it heals stronger. The negative comments are difficult but they are not the majority. Stay strong. Be mighty. And thank you.

I tell you this so you’ll know that when I say I understand your Pain, I truly DO. And I couldn’t AGREE more that everything Nikol shares with us helps LIFT US UP and see that feeling Good about ourselves and how we LOOK goes hand in hand with how we FEEL about ourselves, especially when we’re trying to cope with Adversity. She’s a GIFT in my opinion. I wish you Strength and Healing in your heart. ❤️🙏🌹

Two years ago I had an injury that stopped me dead in my tracks. For a long time I was scared, angry, resentful, and stuck in these negative emotions. I'm better, but not back to where I was and during this time I have come to understand what a blessing it was to have The Universe step in and remove me from the hurricane that was my life. It forced me to really see myself, to come to terms with what I could and could not control, to show me what and who was really important. I am so grateful for this opportunity. I have made changes that would not have been possible had I not been pushed against a wall. Nikol, it was during this time that I discovered you and was able to benefit from what you share - your story, your wonderful make-up, your recommendations, just you. On a lighter note, I also use mouth strips and they are a game changer. I use rectangular strips and now cut them in half and just use them in the center of my mouth. Not as restrictive and they go a lot farther. I had to laugh at all your bedtime trappings! I so get this! Thank you for being so open and brave. You do help other women - I am one of them.

I’m so grateful for your videos I learn so much and draw strength from your advice. My hands also now are giving me grief from my work also a beauty therapist from long ago. Arthritis for me, I’ve been trying bee venom cream..a bit out there but so far it seems to calm the pain. Plus the normal vitamins. Nichol, years ago from too many hours on computers and my love of crafts, art and gardening, I thought I had carpal tunnel. Went to a sports doctor who specializes on that sort of thing, but was told it was tendonitis instead and there was nothing he could do to fix it. I realized it was something I would have to deal with on my own. Unfortunately, the problem never went away. I started wearing a wrist strap that protects my thumb and wrist when working in the yard or on my computer. It saves me from pain and swelling. I think back sometimes and regret not being more careful with my hands instead of taking them for granted. I wish you good health and wellness, and hope your numbness is resolved.

For over 20 years I worked myself into the ground. I put my success in business above everything else, unfortunately including my family and myself. Then the breakdown came. It has been a long repair job and very intense. We need to trust that we are making decisions moving forward that put us in a place of wellness. Boundaries are imperative in order to maintain stability. Many lessons learned and at age 62, yes I have regrets, yet I would rather look at them as lessons learned. As I move forward I find I gain much inspiration from women such as yourself, who are raw and real. I have absolutely no tolerance for the fake that is out there and surrounds us every day. Thank you for being you and telling it like it is in your authentic way. It gives us permission to be authentic ourselves. Many blessings to you Nikol.❤

Thank you so much for your deep level of sharing. Sleep is the only way for the body to rebuild and recover, it’s so rare for me now at 65 (and retired) to have that amazing deep long sleep like when I was a teenager. And hey, regarding those who hide behind social media to be mean, there’s way more of us who appreciate your authenticity than THEM. I remain a faithful supporter 😊❤️

I appreciate your openness and respect you for it! I also gave up on wrist splints and they were very claustrophobic for me as well. I use a hand wrap on rare occasion that supports my lower hand and wrist; they are not big and have no metal splints in them. I do use compression gloves daily, which are silky and come in several colors. They do not cover fingertips, so you have full hand movement. I got my first pair from an occupational therapist and now order them in several colors! And they are washable! Please count me, and I am sure many others, as support for you on this journey!

I can so relate. I have carpel tunnel in my right hand from years of wood working with my husband. My hand became very strong at first, and the became weak. Went to my doctor who told me to quit doing what I was doing. Well great, our family income was what we were doing. My husband also suffered. with his arms and elbows. Being real helps many people so don't give up. Remember this is a marathon not a sprint.

I sleep with wrist splints. I did a lot of renovating years ago, including gutting and hanging drywall. After hanging drywall on the ceiling a few times, my wrists started hurting. The splints help me a lot, but my problem is different than yours. In my case, I pull the blanket tight and hold it while sleeping to keep warm, which bends my wrist back. In the morning my wrists hurt all over again. The splints stop me from bending them while I sleep. I have neck issues so I sleep with a C-shaped poly-filled travel pillow. Memory foam seems too hard and clingy. I can't lay down without one now. Because of repeated hip surgeries, I have to sleep on my good side with a pillow between my legs. As my gait is no longer graceful, I gave up dresses in favor of pants. I've been living vicariously through your beautiful dresses. It's a real treat to see someone having a good time with them. Old age is an 'itch.' It slows you down sometimes. I keep fighting it.

Hi Nikol. I don’t normally respond to any of the videos on KZfaq. I would like you to know that I truly enjoy listening and watching you. It’s easy for others to criticize those that they are jealous of. Don’t change. Love your makeup tips, hair, clothes and simply put - you. Hang in there and thanks for the great content.

I also had very painful carpal tunnel. Tried everything and then finally went to a vet and got a high-powered laser and fixed it myself. You have to treat in between each finger at the base, especially the pinky, and also the inside of the first joint of your thumb. Carpal tunnel is basically a pinched nerve, so I found a pic of the nerve on Gray's Anatomy and used that as a guide. Everyone is different of course, but I hope this helps. Love your channel!

Hi, I had hand issues went to the doctor and he said it was carpal tunnel and I would need surgery. I did several exercises and one that really helped was hanging, yes, hanging from something letting your entire weight, just hang while holding yourself only with your hands. This seems to stretch out a muscle in my back through my elbow, which was what was actually causing my carpal tunnel. I did this stretch almost every day, along with some other exercises and to this day 10 years later no carpal tunnel. Really enjoy your channel, thank you for being you 😘

Nikol 😂😂😂 I cracked up when you commented on your husband’s reaction to your bedtime routine. I didn’t expect that - oh you gave me a good giggle 🤭 I had surgery for endo too. First one was cul de sac, ovaries, bladder - all covered in lesions and appendix removed because of that. Second surgery was for endo on my bowels. I know - (not fun). I so wish they would find a cure. I am loving those heel covers. I can not stand to have my feet covered in socks odor bed and I often neglect my feet due to that. The heel covers are a perfect solution. Thank you !!! Wishing you success on your health journey. Keep us posted and that sweater is so pretty 🎀💖🤍

Hi, Nicole. First off, I am addicted to your channel. You helped me go gray. But the reason for my comment was that I noticed your sleep mask is flat, no padding around the eye area before I switched my eyes were changing. Thank you for all that you do. I'm 61, and it's tough, but you got me interested in makeup again. Blessings, Teri

I am very proud of you to be researching alternative therapies for everything! Keep on researching what works best for you and don’t rely on others, including some of the medical professionals. This is coming from a retired RN. I was in that world for a LONG time but found that I needed to do the research for myself and I do pass it thru my GP and get her opinion. Most often she agrees with me. She will tell me if it’s harmful or wrong in her opinion and I trust her. Make sure you have a professional that you can talk with and trust!

It never fails to surprise me when other women can't follow suit with empathic respect. You address us all as "ladies," but what does that even mean anymore? I'm sorry your journey has been such a bumpy road, but you're a great example for us to follow in taking care of ourselves. Products, procedures, reading, and talking about your changes is where it's at - but only if it's within your comfort zone. Take care of Nikol. And thanks for the book recommendation!
