@@creatureman5636 No she didn't, it was a ruse to fool the patriots. It's the entire closure of the Meryl/Roy/Rose/Raiden plot in MGS4. Roy basically pulled a Boss by becoming a symbol of hate to his friends to protect Rose/Raiden's son.

In MGS4 yes but during the tanker incident in mgs2, liquid did legitimately possess ocelot at the start in part thanks to liquids arm and ocelots psychic power.( he inherited from his father the sorrow.) At some point before mgs4 he removed liquids arm and resorted to the hypnotherapy.

Big Boss is essentially Deathstroke. Both were born in 1935. Both volunteered at the age of 15 to join the U.S. Army in 1950 to fight in the Korean War. Both were trained by a highly trained female warrior. Deathstroke just married his mentor/lover. Both men were legendary mercenaries and soldiers who took on assignments deemed "impossible" to accomplish. Both have antagonistic relationships with their sons.

As to Big Boss's parentage: After watching a lot of KZfaq videos about the Red Dead Redemption series, an epiphany came to me: What if Naked Snake/Big Boss was a Marston? What it Big Boss's real name is John Marston III, the son of Jack Marston, and the grandson of John Marston. Timeline wise, it makes sense. We have 1920 to 1935 to cover more stories and missions about Jack Marston, who was a federal agent for the Bureau of Investigation in 1920. Perhaps he became a freelance agent operating across the planet. Perhaps as a low-level member of The Philosophers. He might have even been one of The Joy/The Boss's instructors and mentors. Not to mention that it's possible that Jack Marston might have been the unknown soldier that Major Zero referred to when talking about the pendant The Boss kept to Skullface. He might have been the soldier who disappeared during a special mission for the SAS in December of 1941. That's why she took on young Naked Snake as her apprentice. Just a bunch of head canon theorizing.

Liquid did have the recessive alleles. This is obvious, as solid is a perfect clone phenotypically whereas liquid has blonde hair, etc. The whole point of MGS1 was that he wrongly thought the recessive traits made him inferior.

Paul Hensley Some people think solid dyes his hair because it kind of looks blonde in the briefing sequence in all red at the beginning of MGS1, but I think it’s been agreed that this was just how they misinterpreted the original black and white artwork, or because he was originally designed with blonde hair but was changed before release of MG1. Everyone assumes that solid has the recessive genes because of ocelot’s MGS post-credits comment, but all he said was that liquid “believed he was the inferior one,” not “believed he was the recessive one”. I don’t think it’s been formally clarified by Konami or Kojima, but given the MGS theme of not being beholden to one’s ‘genetic destiny’, I prefer to interpret this as meaning liquid had the recessive alleles but was actually the superior one anyway. It’s clear since he’s the one who looks different from Big Boss that he has the recessive traits, but a common misconception of genetics is that recessive traits are always worse.

Kojima was looking for new snake names so he took it out of physics, solidus is the critical point where you can no longer tell liquid and solid apart, it's kinda like a mixture of names and a mixture of both genetic codes since solidus didn't have the dominant and recessive split

Solidus actually means a state of matter that is neither solid nor liquid. I think it correlates with the fact that Solidus is the perfect clone of Big Boss. He inherits both his superior and inferior genes, whereas Solid only has the inferior genes while Liquid the superior ones.

Yup. Little is known about Snake’s Japanese “mother” who was said to be Dr. Clark’s assistant. I remember a few codec calls from MGS1 where Liquid (as Master Miller of course) talks about what Vulcan Raven said to Solid Snake in regards to his partially mixed Japanese ancestry and how East Asians and Native Americans/Inuit, etc can all trace their origins back to Mongolia, thus the “cousins” remark made by Liquid and talking about Solid Snake’s Japanese heritage. I remember Solid Snake saying something along the lines of “Master, I never told you I was part Japanese”, which of course alluded to Master Miller not being who he says he is.

Somehow events after MGS4 are much happier, in a sense. In MGS: Revengeance, the story was not that emotional like the previous games. It was pretty straightforward like who is your enemy and there were no betrayals. I've never felt emotions in games, except the ending of Snake Eater and the ending of MGS4. The scene at the Boss's grave is so powerful.

Before Phantom Pain came out, i had a theory Venom wasn't the real Big Boss. Seeing the videos on who Quiet was made me wish Sniper Wolf was Venom's and Quiets child. But the game came out and Venom became infertile and Quiets insides are pretty much mulch.

I could’ve sworn Naked Snake’s real name is Jack. John is what he tells Ocelot during Snake Eater most likely as a false name (such as John Doe). Meanwhile, The Boss always refers to him as Jack. He is her protégé after all so why shouldn’t she know his real name? It’s also why Solidus gave Raiden the name Jack after adopting him.

Jack is a nickname for John. While it is also a name itself these days it was less common as a regular name in the past. So his name is John but The Boss called him Jack. Raiden was called Jack because of his combat prowess, which Solidus compared to the butchery of Jack the Ripper.

Please... PLEASE!!! big boss’s real name was Jack, like the boss called him. John was a nickname he gave to ocelot. He used the name john before in the mission. When paramedic asked him his real name he said “john doe”. The boss calls him jack because that’s his real name.

Eli had the recessive Genes. The Patriots believed the secret to John's super soldier genes were in his recessive Genes hance why they bio-engineered Liquid. The confusion came when Eli mistook recessive to mean inferior and therefore assumed David was super because he had the dominant genes.

I only started this game from MGSV and when i first started digging into the lore story GOD DAMN was it a mess, so many snakes, but more i learned more interesting it became it took me a week to understand it story properly.

6:28 Solid Snake’s first appearance was in Metal Gear 1 and not MGS1, just like Big Boss for whom you wrote the correct first appearance at 2:53

Guys i'm still new to this Metal Gear series and i'm first time playing Phantom Pain, so did i get this right?; i'm playing as body double of Big Boss, and basically i never was in Ground Zeroes but instead that was the real Big Boss and body double is the final boss in Msx Metal Gear game and Real Big Boss is in it's sequel Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake, Right?

Yes that is correct. And if you wanna know anything more about big boss his story starts in mgs3 and he goes through a few things before he gets to the ground zeros part. Then the end of his story is mgs4. Big boss and his clone solid snake fight/talk to each other a few times here and there in the games so they know each other well enough

In regard to the thumbnail, the proper way to wear a beret is with the insignia over the left eye and the draped material over the right ear. Also, when someone loses their right eye, they learn to shoot left-handed (if they weren't already left-handed or ambidextrous). That's just the way it is. 7:09 Just like Jeff Fahey's character in 'Body Parts'.

Metal gear solid huh I think the game is very great graphics and terrific character and incredible design and excellent detail and realistic character r most wonderful game and great performance and entertainment and entertaining excitement game ever very awesome to me looks fantastic and very cool and unique
