Orange Line 12 (Extension), or the Kalyan-Dombivli-Taloja Line is a proposed line of Mumbai Metro. It will be an extension of Orange Line. The total length of the line is planned to be 20.75 kilometres (12.89 mi), and the route will be completely elevated. The total cost of the construction is planned to be Rs 4,132 crore. MMRDA approved the Kalyan-Dombivli-Taloja Metro line. There will be 18 stations. This line will connect Navi Mumbai city with Kalyan-Dombivali city. Delhi Metro authority show red flag to Kalyan-Dombivli-Taloja Metro line.
Mumbai Metro 14.
The magenta line will cross the areas of Badlapur, Ambernath, Nilje, Shil Phata, Mahape, Ghansoli and eventually cross the Thane Creek to reach the Greater Mumbai limits at Kanjurmarg. In all, there will be 15 stations along the corridor with 13 of them being elevated, one each underground and at grade. The possibility of more stations getting planned along the alignment is not ruled out, at this juncture.

At first i also thought that but its really good planning, all people working near Kanjurmarg ghatkopar, Student near powai and all can take Badlapur metro directly, because by local we have to go through thane and kalyan which are in north and adds extra distance, people working in navi mumbai, Airoli will also board the metro and deboard ar Ambarnath and badlapur and people who wanna go to karjat can deboard at badlapur and take local for karjat

Soon a diva local will be started is wat I have heard as also platform 1 is being built. Escalators are being installed at the stations. East-west fly over bridge is being built. A half at Diva for express trains is required as most people have to travel to Thane!

Mumbai easily generates enough output to fund it's own development. Please don't spread confusion. Your city probably doesn't generate anything and if you're from South, your tax must be going to North, not Mumbai. Plus over past many years, Bangalore/NCR/Hyderabad/Pune have seen considerable growth overtaking Mumbai in many aspects. Example: 390km delhi metro vs less than 60km Mumbai metro.

Mumbai open ground, footpath, widened road, encroachment free footpath, uniform line of shops. Residence on roadside, encroachment free railway land encroachment. Mumbai biggest problem is lack of parking area. If you look at China from any city, plenty of free parking available across China. In India filthy road, footpath and surrounding, no better garbage and waste management. Poor public transportation, cleanliness affecting india's image.
